I think the actual Observer lists all nominations that received any votes, maybe cap it at a top 10. Its always funny to see who gets around equal votes for best and worst awards lol

Yeah its a weird one. In the moment, it was pretty funny and I was enjoying it but the further along it got and the big reveal of what was happening was so flat, I didn't really think of it for worst feuds when I did nominations on here but at the same time not really disagreeing.

But it definitely never made me be like "ugh its time for this segment" like some others did

There actually seems to be a lot less recency bias this year than I usually think too tbh, shocked Okada/Ospreay won MOTY over the dog collar for instance

Hmm maybe with some multiman fuckery for worst match but I'm not sure. I know Bray Wyatt won best gimmick for The Fiend in 2019 and worst gimmick for it in 2020 tho, that was hilaruous

I want to see where some year, two people have two matches, one being the best match of the year, the other being the worst. Just to see how bad the worst one is, because if both people won best, they have to be pretty great. But I doubt something like that ever happens.

Oh not technically the same but in 2014, Bray Wyatt vs John Cena cage match at extreme rules (the one with the singing kid) won worst match for WON and Bray vs Cena Last Man Standing at Payback won best match for PWI, I remember when I got to 2014 in my review thread and saw that lol

Yeah idk what PWI was smoking that year lol they hadn't really acknowledged other promotions outside of America like they do now but that wasn't even the best WWE match of the year for me, still a great match tho don't really wanna hate on it

But Raw over Power and WWE over NWA for the worst is a joke lol Velvet also not even close to winning worst announcer lmao

Probably just because the amount of exposure Raw gets + it being 3 hours, when Raw is having a rough patch, it is especially bad.

I'm glad Stardom has got a lot of recognition where they are nominated for a lot of stuff. It is probably the promotion that has had the most growth for the past year. Although, where is Starlight Kid's award for turning me into her biggest fangirl in Canada?

Then of course, Moxley winning a lot of MVP awards, once you hear it, you think of how much he carried AEW on its back during the year where the middle part, as a result of an injury bug, then in the fall with the fallout of All Out, he's EARNED IT. You could point to Roman as, you know the guy who was champ all year. But Moxley just put in more work and is probably the most consistent.

One award I wish they had was a most improved promotion like TEW does. Stardom woulda won that easily and it would be a good way to get some recognition for smaller promotions that may not have other awards
