I'm not sure if anybody here will be able to answer this for me, I may have to post it on Squared Circle but I do know there is a couple of "older" gentlemen :jeritroll: here that have been watching wrestling for awhile so maybe they can help, maybe not but I was looking for some successful guys that have made it to WWE & who were also, actually successful in WWE only having 5 or less years of experience. With the exception of guys who had an "in" such as Roman Reigns... who has family or with the exception of guys who are jacked beyond belief like Batista or Cena... or super hot girls with big boobs

Thanks guys

Cena. The dude went from being on the brink of being fired to being the main star of Smackdown in the span of a year.

FYI: Cena is not jacked beyond belief.

He can bench like 700lbs... my definition of jacked.

Also... I don't think WWE had any plans of giving up on Cena, ever... I think they wanted him as their guy the minute they seen him, just like Roman and stuck to it because they are stubborn that way

Early on Kurt Angle.

From about his 2nd performance on he was playing the crowd like someone with a lot more experience.

Ultimate Warrior went over. Barely knew how to wrestle.

Goldberg

Both of them count as jacked up though I suppose.

Tyler Bates is a natural at 19.

1-2-3- Kid AKA Syxx AKA X-Pac AKA Sean Waltmann. Started young, solid mid carder at age 19/20/21 though.

They did not want Cena as their guy right away. He kind of naturally filled those shoes and got bigger than what they thought. Batista was supposed to be bigger than Cena and that failed.

Cena was WWE's plan C. C. Not A. C. Heck, he probably was D. Out of the fabled OVW class he belonged to both Lesnar, Batista and Orton were prioritized higher than him. They had plans for Cena. But he was not their first choice of franchise player. That was always going to be Brock or Batista. Cena was in fact supposed to be fired in late 2002 if it wasn't for impressing with his character work when he dressed as Vanilla Ice on a halloween themed Smackdown episode. Had he not chosen to dress as Vanilla Ice he would probably have been gone before Wrestlemania in 2003.

Kurt had an IN!!! ....He was an Olympic Gold Medalist

Kurt had an in but unlike other celebrity or MMA type athletes he picked up on stuff fairly fast (mic skills, in ring work). Compare him with Mark Henry or whatever.

Sheamus is a pretty good answer.... I mean he's pretty big but there have been alot bigger. About 6'2 250 in real life... these days looking a little lighter as well. Sheamus only started training to be a wrestler in 2002 and was in WWE by 2006.

That's actually pretty crazy, talented dude.

btw I just realized he's 39 years old. I didn't know he was that old... Really hope they use him right while they still have him, that guys should be one of the main stars IMO, great heel & they booked him so good at first.

Brock Lesnar. Yeah he was an amateur wrestling but never watched a lick of professional wrestling in his life
