This is a thread where we talk about Wrestlers who is gimmick, persona, image, and likeness was copied by other Wrestlers

I'll start off with best I can think of right now....

You can tell that WCW was either trying to parody The Warrior during the time of Renegade or make an Offspring Gimmick

But this is one of the most obvious rip offs in Wrestling History

Who do you think are the biggest ripoffs and copycats in Wrestling History?

Jungle Jim Steel was an obvious ripoff of Superfly Jimmy Snuka. He also resembled the 1-2-3 Kid.

Van Hammer was a rip-off of Van Halen. In 1992, Van Halen released Right Now, which was popular on MTV. WCW wanted to capitalize on Van Halen's popularity and created the Van Hammer character. Hammer rarely won against a major star.

Glen Jacobs (Unabom in SMW) is a clone of early Sid Vicious

"Superfly" Sivi Afi

"Buzzkill" Brad Armstrong....in a gimmick that ripped off his brother Road Dog Jesse James

Fake Diesel (Glenn Jacobs) and Razor Ramon (Rick Bogner)

Superfly Tui is a ripoff of Superfly Jimmy Snuka. His physique is reminiscent of Don Muraco and even his reverse knife-edge chops looks a lot like Jimmy Snuka's.

Some say Hogan ripped of Billy Graham. In some ways I agree

You want to talk about wrestler duplicates and copycats? There ain't no better ones than the fake diesel and the fake razor ramon, (I didn't cap their names because they were such bogus characters). I mean, they did their best to look like the real ones, but they were just cheap copycats.

Didn't new diesel get a stiff headbut from Jimmy Snuka back in 1996 at the Survivor Series?

I really like El Mesias but the whole Abyss/Judas Mesias storyline was a C-list Taker/Kane rehash. That said, it was a very good feud and they had some nice matches.

I feel that the only title run the fake diesel and razor ramon got was rigged. I mean, Rick Bogner getting repeatedly punched by Davey Boy and letting go of a wrist lock, along with the easy ending of Owen's flying kick and Davey's flip bridge pin made the match more of a whipping, than a proper contest.
