Words cannot even begin to describe what fans witnessed last night at WrestleMania. I will instead allow for the screencap below to perfectly encapsulate the moment. That face was not unique either, as basically every face in the crowd featured the same shocked expression.
This of course occurred after the Undertaker finally lost at WrestleMania, ending his perfect 21-0 streak at the biggest wrestling event of the year. In my opinion, ending the streak against Brock Lesnar was the definition of illogical booking.

This image perfectly sums up the crowd’s reaction to Lesnar’s victory.

It makes little, if any, sense to end the most vaunted streak in sports entertainment against a part-time superstar who is way past his prime. That should have instead been reserved for an up-and-coming superstar such as Roman Reigns or Bray Wyatt.
Following the event, fans were even speculating whether the loss was a shoot, that’s how unbelievable it seemed that the WWE would allow Lesnar to end the streak. It was indeed the plan all along, but it still makes one question why Lesnar was the chosen one.
The most logical reason is that Lesnar was hand-picked by Taker to end the streak. At this point in his career, the Undertaker has complete creative control over his character and there is no doubt that he would have to approve any loss. He is also a noted fan of MMA, so he probably thought Lesnar would serve as the perfect man to end his undefeated run.

The Undertaker seemed gassed during much of the match and was taken to a hospital following the contest.

Not only did the decision not make sense from a business standpoint, it also killed the crowd. They were completely disinterested during the Divas contest and it seemed like they did not become completely invested in the main event until about halfway through. The Undertaker’s loss definitely killed the momentum of the show for the next 20 or 30 minutes, as fans were in a state that was a mixture of shock, disbelief, and anger.
Ultimately, having Lesnar end the streak was a very poor booking decision. That was likely the last time fans will ever see the Undertaker compete in the ring. They will now remember his final match as an anti-climactic botch-fest against an uncommitted part-timer that ended in defeat. The worst was that some disrespectful fans in the audience were actually brazen enough to shout, “You suck!” to one of the most accomplished and respected superstars in WWE history.

While I do see your point, the silver lining of the streak ending is the fact that now brock lesnar is the most meanacing character in WWE today, and if used right, he could be a tool for some incredible storytelling with younger talent. While I do think the undertaker's streak should have ended at the shawn michaels match, or even(to a less extent) with the Cm Punk match, seeing as they were both incredible storylines masterfully played, the streak ending could prove out to be the sparkle leading to an explosion of new possibilities for rivalries.

That's true. But the same could be said if Bray or Reigns ended the streak....right? And those superstars are full time wrestlers who are going to stick around for a while...imagine the feuds with that...not with the part time botch artist known as Brock Lesnar.

I agree with you partly, but the transformation of Brock Lesnar into the kayfabe monster he is wasn't something done solely by the ending of the streak, it was a work in progress since he returned(michael cole and jerry lawler constantly mentioning his acolades in the wwe, and, of course, his UFC career). So, maybe the reasoning behind this move was(and I'm not saying I agree with it) that Undertaker was too old to wait until either Bray or Reigns or some other could become a beliavable enough star to end the streak and that if it happens, this would push ONE superstar tops. With the torch being passed to a younger and physichally more durable Brock Lesnar, lots of potential stars could be elevated just by feuding with the ufc champion streak-breaker.

Maybe i'm giving WWE too much credit, IDK, but I don't honestly believe they would make such a big decision without some huge plans in mind. On an unrelated note, sorry if my typing can be hard to understand, I am not a native

Saying the booking of the ending of the Streak is illogical at this point seems a little silly.

We don't really know all of the fallout yet. It was an unbelievable moment from a fan standpoint and, on the surface, was very questionable from a storytelling standpoint.

But, the promo based around ending the Streak cut by Heyman on Raw was absolutely amazing. It was literally one of the best promos in WWE in the last 5 years (arguably the best), and where the storyline goes from there will tell the tale about whether or not it was a wise decision. I can easily say that the Raw appearance by Lesnar and Heyman left me wanting more and I don't think I'm alone on that.

The reality is that it may be months or a year before we finally truly know if booking Lesnar to end the Streak was a good decision or an "illogical" one.

Hey Gohan, guess what? Taker chooses who ends the streak and he chose for Lesnar to. Get over it.

FUCK OFF! I WANTED PROVE!
Taker has 100% control over the Streak. If that wasn't the case, Taker could go tell Vince to fuck off, especially if he wanted him to job out to someone random.

Undertaker: Worked and continues to work for WWE at 22 years, longest continuous run in WWE history. Has the most dedicated fan base. One of the most profitable guys in WWE today. Flagship for Mania.

Unless Vince wants to kill Hogan next, i doubt this was a WWE Creative booking.
