No, I'm not getting this from any website. I'm just wondering to myself. Since WWE likes to treat their big tenth anniversary shows as a big deal, does anyone think it's probable at all that WM30 could be five hours instead of just four? They try and make every Wrestlemania special so in an effort to make the big 30th celebration show stand out a little more from the others, I could almost see them stretching it out to five hours. Would also justify them to raise the price even more, even for just this one year.

With an extra hour, they could put at least a couple of extra matches on the card (and another celebrity musical act or celebrity segment or something) in an effort to fit as many people as possible on the card. I know this is usually pointless as there's no need to throw EVERYONE on the show (though they certainly tried with some of the past Wrestlemanias that had like 12-14 matches on the card) but again, the 30th Wrestlemania. It would be a way of showcasing more of the full roster on their biggest show of the year.

Would anyone actually WANT them to stretch it out to five hours even just once every ten years?

It's more likely that they will showcase past and present wrestlers than the whole current roster. Probably be two hours longer with old WM clips knowing WWE.

It all depends on what the card is for me. With a card like this year's one I'd have no interest in seeing an extra hour. But if we're getting big matches, like Rock/Brock and Cena/Taker, then I'd welcome it.

Initial reaction: "Yeah, I'll pass".

After thinking about it: "Sure! Maybe we'll get more backstage segments, more interviews and promo segments, better video packages, some people we usually wouldn't see at WM spotlighted..."

After remembering we said the same thing about 3 Hour Raw: "Yeah, I'll pass".

I think wrestlemania 20 was about 8 hours long. They had a 4 hour program before the PPV you could watch. I suspect the same thing, and actual mania being 4 hrs.

tbh i would not mind them stretching it out to 5 hours as they wont cancel matches at the last minute. And it's for the 30th Anniversary of Wrestlemania so i think they should but on the other hand i think raw is enough to watch never mind an extra 2 hours

Sounds like too much wrestling, but does seem plausible. Won't complain much since it's a one-time thing though.

they could make a 1-2 hr pre-show where they catch up with the superstars and have matches etc.

I agree, but that's why I'm also pondering using the time not just for an extra match or two but for some sort of celebrity appearance or act or whatever. Being it's the 30th WM, expect them to go all out in that area more than usual, too. (Wouldn't put it past them to get a celebrity as a guest referee as well.)

It could be seen as an intermission of some sorts. Back in the day around 1988-1991, they would throw like 13 matches on the WM card but their way of not tiring or burning the audience out with match after match after match was to save a lot of the backstage interviews with wrestlers or celebrities for that intermission spot where they'd do a bunch of them in a roll so as to give the audience a break from just watching matches in the ring.
