That's the prevailing theory. Austin threw a fit and got the finish changed. Hall and Nash think so because otherwise they would have been told way before the day of the finish had been changed.

That was the idea. nWo was supposed to look lieka threat. Hence why the nWo is sprayed over all the alternate poster and shirts. Once nWo lost both these matches, it was over.

I still think CLEAN is a big stretch, heels so rarely win clean in wrestling anyway. Hall would have had to had done SOMETHING at least slighly dirty to win lol

If that's what you wanna do then sure, that's the way to go. But nWo being a dominant force in WWF in 2002 doesn't appeal to me much, so I have no gripes with Austin going over.
