The latest PPV buyrate figures released by WWE on 5/22 show that WrestleMania 28 did about 1.25 million buys, down from the initial estimate of 1.3 million. Still, they were about 200,000 buys ahead of last year's event.

When I saw the topic I thought that the real numbers were going to be low, but that buyrate is also very good.

Disappointed. :cry::upset:

You might be, but I doubt if WWE's disappointment is very strong with 200,000 more buys this year than last year. That's solid growth.

Yeah, but. NO RECORD BREAK!! :upset: Plus, it shows how much sheep people are. Rock main eventing WM only did 200,000 more buys than Miz. people will buy WM no matter what. :dawg:

To be fair, Miz was the least important part of the main event even last year. It was still all about Rock and Cena.

Anyway, I read this yesterday and I'm not surprised it didn't break the record because I was surprised it did in the first place. I was pretty skeptical, because with all the publicity they got from the whole Donald Trump thing at WM23, I couldn't believe that Rock/Cena could have done more business than that. Turns out I was right.

Exactly what I said, and Rock/Cena only did 200,000 more. Just proves how much of sheep people really are. :facepalm1:

'Only" did 200,000 more is a weird way of putting it, as if that's not an impressive jump or something.
