We see a lot of crazy stuff in wrestling but one that is rarely talked about is that AJ Styles is so unbelievably good that Vince made him champion for a full on year despite his short stature and thick southern accent. Throw in making his name elsewhere and it’s like he was created in a lab to be everything Vince hates. But he was too good to not make it.

I think he was the first of the NXT era to come from TNA or Japan or indies and bypass developmental and go straight to the main roster.
