your assessment makes a lot of sense for the EVIL match btw too. anywhere else it would a passable, wtv, pretty bad but probably servicable match. ur right that wk has a prestige of never really having duds as far as singles matches on this show so ya im not surprised its all time bad in that regards

Rambo was interesting - just on the basis that both Minoru and CIMA will be involved with two of our KOPW favourites. Not actually the worst Rambo in recent years.

- Yoh vs. Sho - it was the match that just had to happen at WK and a great way to officially begin proceedings of the first night of WK 16. It was very much a crowd warmer though, and I think the match the two had how many months ago when they first split up was a lot better than this. It felt like it was better in my memory anyway.

- Tanahashi & The Mega Coach vs. ELP, Ishimori and KENTA - a great trios match for everyone to enjoy. And the first "tooo sweeeet" of the year. The DQ finish makes sense, as it helps the build up towards day two.

Deffo have to try and watch a few more matches tomorrow [4+ hours of wrestling is enough for one day]

They were both fucking STATEMENT victories for the underdogs (CHAOS and Despy), not squashes but I mean dominant lmao back to back matches like that is a bit weird but honestly i loved it, especially the Despy win. Good subverting of expections

Main event was great, def better than the Shingo/Okada matches last year which I expected since Okada is at 100% now. Not anything to crazy rave about but it did meet my fairly high expectations and was booked about how I expected as well

English commentary ruled, credit to those dudes calling that shit live remotely
