The WPC Open the Prediction Gate Championship originated as being a representative of a #1 contender for the World Prediction Championship (now known as the WPC Grand Championship). In later seasons it was also used in similar fashion until 2022 (Season Three) before it was formerly retired. The belt was considered a second tier championship and appears as such for those who have become Grand Slammer Winners.
The WPC Interactive Championship was the belt that took over from the OTPG Championship and held the position of the second tier belt for 2021 & 2022 (Season 2 & 3). The belt was competed for in Head-2-Head Matchplay with all predictors fighting their way up the rankings to earn a shot at the champion. They would earn three points for a win, one point for a draw, loses a point for a loss and if they were involved in the championship irrespective of whether they were the champion or challenge they would lose five point (originally they lost ten points). The stipulation would prove to be challenging for all involved, with two standout champions in its two year history. The first is Sky who as the first champion successfully defended the belt six times in a row, with the second being Chris who held the 'original red belt' three times in total.
The title had its design flaws however, as if the holder of the belt was challenging for the Grand Championship they were forced to vacate the belt. This was originally done to prevent a minority of predictor from dominating all the titles. It was this original problem, that very much acted as the inspiration for seperate championship belt for each division for the 2024 (Season 5).
The WPC Clout Cup only existed in 2021 (Season Two) and was created on the basis of giving gold to those who currently without any singles championships of their own. The stipulation was simple. Whoever was in possession of the cup, could challenge anyone else without a title for a shot at the trophy. It was a highly experimental concept and although not the most fine tuned over concepts, I hope was at least fun for those involved. It held no value in term of tier strength and was not attachable to any tier to qualify for what at the time would have been Grand Slam Status. It is rumoured that the Fourth Wall has the Clout Cup hidden somewhere on WS, but no one knows where exactly.
The WPC Hardcore Championship was created as a third tier belt that would be eligible to only those predictors not in the Grand Championship Division (the top five overall predictors at the time) with matches offered to those outside of the rankings and put together by the hosts of WPC. In a similar fashion to the Clout Cup, the belt was created to give opportunities to those outside the high ranking predictor a chance of winning gold. The combined attempts of both the Clout Cup and the Hardcore Championship, in many ways it was these two attempts at creating a fairer playing field has now led to the creation of the newly introduced (2024) WPC King of the Mountain Championship.
The Grand Slam was created to recognize those predictors whom had held championship belt in all four recognised tiers within the WPC. Those being: The Primary Tier (Grand Championship), Tag Tier (Tag Team Wrestling Championships), Second Tier (Open The Prediction Gate or !nteractive Championship) & Third Tier (Grand Prix Event or Hardcore Championship). This awarded has been retired, due a changing in how certain belts will be valued in the tier system. We do however remember all five predictor who achieved these difficult accomplishment.
In 2004 (Season Five) a new structure was created in which predictors would be awarded a WPC Triple Crown for winning the WPC Grand Championship (Primary Tier), WPC World Tag Team Wrestling Championship (Tag Tier) & WPC Grand Prix Event Championship (Second Tier). In order for this honour to be accomplished, all three titles from these three tiers must be won (or defended if you brought a title from a previous season) from Event #1 - Genesis (2024). That means that at this time of writing (7th January 2024), there is not one single predictor who has achieved the WPC Triple Crown.
