Ladies and Gentlemen, WPC SuperShow II - Halloween Havoc is in the books and let me tell you - this was a happening!
The controversy started early as people wanted to change their picks after the deadline but didn't know if they could and so did not - The WPC Championship committee will issue this as a vote to the roster before the next SuperShow to avoid the confusion that this unique style of event can create.
We had Bobby Knoxx re-enter the competition, we had people wanting to predict on matches added after the deadline and much, much more! Lets take you through the show as it happened.
Our first match of the night was the All Comers invitational, where the top three scorers at the event would earn the right to challenge for the Open The Prediction Gate Championship at our very next show.
Let me tell you folks that this was hotly contested and came down to a five way tie with each of those five individuals earning five correct predictions across the two events. When the dust settled the three standing tall due to their superior standings in the WPC World Rankings table were @Jimmy King, @Sky and @Petty Pendergrass who all move on to challenge for the OTPG title at AEW Full Gear on November 7th.
The second match of the evening saw @Chris retain his Open The Prediction Gate Championship by virtue of the Champions advantage after he and @Sky both score 5 points across the two real world events. @HoHo Kimura scored 4 points and @Lethal Banks scored just 3 to finish up the scoring in that one. This result, of course, meant that @Chris had the opportunity to become the first Undisputed Champion in WPC history if he could beat fellow PWO member, the seemingly unbeatable @Raidokken in the first World Championship Match of the evening.
This was @Chris second shot at the title in as many events and many were predicting a classic but... in reality, the Champion got off to a terrible start, scoring zero points to Chris's 2 at Bound For Glory. This left the reigning King of the Ring and World Prediction Champion relying on Chris to score less points than him at the four match Hell in a Cell card.
CHRIS!!!!
Unfortunately for @Raidokken that was not to be the case as both he and @Chris finished Hell in a Cell with 3 points a piece but, over the weekend, @Chris took the victory 5 to 3 to bring an end to @Raidokkens 2nd title reign.
Then, just moments after the bell rang to proclaim Chris the New World Prediction Champion, in the nights second main event, the specialty match of Halloween Havoc, the Stranger Things match, saw the rankings table turned upside down as the six lowest ranked predictors with six or more events predicted upon entered the ring to challenge the brand new Champion for the title he had won just moments before.
However,
CHRIS!!!!
@Raidokken entered the event in seemingly unstopable form as the World Prediction Champion and left without the title.
@Chris entered the event with one belt and left with two to become the first person to Open the Prediction Gate... he is now the Undisputed Prediction Champion of the World.
Our next event will take place at AEW Full Gear on November 7th
