World Prediction Championship 2021 Event #29 Results
Event #29 marks the first event in the Round of Six, but also sees our 2021 season approaching its finale with only three event remaining following this event. Not only that - but our first Divisional Ranking results for the season will be announced, with Turning Point have been the final live event on the Impact calendar. We have three titles matches booked for this event, as well as the two Fantastic Four Way matches in the !nteractive Division.
We start proceeding by focusing on the Grand Championship, that sees current champion HoHo take on our fourth beneficiary of 'Option-E' The Fourth Wall. In a matter of maths, this may be the last time someone benefits from winning the Grand Prix Event Championship three time in the same season, so will Fourth be able to do what only one has done before and benefit from this back door route?
WPC Grand Championship
HoHo (c) vs. The Fourth Wall
Grand Championship | Name | Wins | Losses | Differential |
1st. | HoHo | 18 | 8 | +10 |
2nd. | TFW | 16 | 10 | +6 |
In a tough contest, HoHo manages to end the event with a +4 differential and thus successfully retain the Grand Championship as The Fourth Wall falls short in benefitting from 'Option-E'.
HoHo
Our next focus is the the !nteractive Championship Division, which continues to run as an experimental division with WPC that uses a 'Head 2 Head Matchplay' mechanic. Points are earned in the following ways:
A Win = 1 point
A Loss = -2 points
A Draw = 0 points
A Championship Loss = -5 points
A Championship Draw = Granted The Next Title Shot + 0 points
The Champion earns no points
Two of the matches will be 'Fantastic Four Way' matches - with the winners of these matches rather than earning the usual +1 point for a win, will instead be rewarded with +3 points instead. If there is a tie, they will only be rewarded +2 point and so on.
Fantastic Four Way #2
Sky [17] vs. The Fourth Wall [16] vs. Jimmy King [15] vs. Smark [16]
Sky leaves as the sole victor of their matchup, and so is rewarded +3 points for their victory - the rest of the field all pick up a loss and the -2 point that go with it.
Fantastic Four Way #1
Lethal Banks [17] vs. Jeff [18] vs. Blaze [14] vs. LadyHotRod [15]
Jeff leaves as the sole victor of their matchup, and so is rewarded +3 points for their victory - the rest of the field all pick up a loss and the -2 point that go with it.
Our final match in the !nteractive Division sees Chris defend his championship against division returnee Juice.
WPC !nteractive Championship
Chris [19] (c) vs. [11] Juice
Chris successfully retains the !nteractive Championship.

Chris edges past Jeff, to win the Grand Prix Event Championship by a solitary win claiming the belt for the second time this season. If Chris manages to win the Event Championship in the next two events, he will earn him a shot at the Grand Championship? The truth is, is it a little too late to earn a shot via 'Option-E'.
