World Prediction Championship 2021 Event #23 Results

Sixteen matches were booked for the GCW Supercard, with only the the match between Oliver and Wayne cut from the card due the match finishing in a No-Contest. Every single one of the championships and cup were up for grabs for this event, so we will start at the top with the Singles Division.

SINGLES DIVISION

The first match of the evening, see Sky cash in their 'Option-E' privilege after winning the Grand Prix Event Championship for the third time this season and taking on reigning champion Lethal Banks for the Grand Championship.

In a close contest, Lethal edges a victory over Sky by just one solitary win and thus equals Chris' record of three successful Grand Championship title defences - meaning that Lethal will face Haza at Event #24 'Fear The Gauntlet'.

Our next focus is the Grand Prix Event Championship, with Juice entering the event as the reigning champion. Only Lethal and Sky stand as the only predictors that aren't eligible to be entered into the contest. As it stands Necro, LadyHotRod, The Fourth Wall and Juice all sit at two reigns each - meaning that if either of the four predictor claim a third win, they will earn get the benefit of 'Option-E' and earn a shot at the Grand Championship.

LadyHotRod impresses with an impressive score of 11-4, and by doing so not until does this result in successfully claiming the GPE Championship - but also LadyHotRod wins the belt for the third time and thus claims the benefit of Option-E and earns a future shot at the Grand Championship.

The Clout Cup is contested in a Fatal Four way match, with current Cup Holder Blaze facing three of the predictors that helped him retain the Cup at Tag Team War. If a tie takes place, the predictors with the highest joint scores will continue to battle for the Cup at Event #24.

After fifteen matches - Blaze successfully defends the title by ending the night tied with Chris. The contest will continue however, with Chris and Blaze continue their fight for the Cup in a singles contest at Event #24.

Our next focus is the the !nteractive Championship Division, which continues to run as an experimental division with WPC that uses a 'Head 2 Head Matchplay' mechanic. Points are earned in the following ways:

A Win = 1 point
A Loss = -2 points
A Draw = 0 points
A Championship Loss = -5 points
A Championship Draw = Granted The Next Title Shot + 0 points
The Champion earns no points

Sky's reign of dominance continues, as they take on Chris in what will be their seventh defence of the !nteractive Championship.
