World Prediction Championship 2021 Event #20 Results

The twentieth event of the the season saw a KhanxKhan combo take place featuring matches from both AEW and the WWE. A total of five titles are being contested for at this event, including the match to crown the inaugural tag team champions.

We start proceedings by focusing on the WPC Tag Team Championships match that saw the Shinjuku Murder Klub take on the Dream Warriors.

With there being no need for tie breakers, Sky becomes the WPC Grand Prix Event Champion for the third time this season - which means that for the very first time this season we have have our first beneficiary from "Option-E" meaning that Sky will get a future shot at the WPC Grand Championship. Our next focus is the the !nteractive Championship Division, which continues to run as an experimental division with WPC that uses a 'Head 2 Head Matchplay' mechanic. Points are earned in the following ways:

A Win = 1 point
A Loss = -2 points
A Draw = 0 points
A Championship Loss = -5 points
A Championship Draw = Granted The Next Title Shot + 0 points
The Champion earns no points

Sky faces HoHo in a Championship Rematch, after the last clash between the two ended in a tie.

UPDATE:

Necro won the Open The Prediction Gate Championship and therefore faces Lethal Banks for the Grand Championship at the next scheduled event.

Necro for the time being will be the last person to hold the OTPG belt - as the belt will go on a temporary hiatus. Instead, the top five overall predictors will compete with the GC Division. If anyone loses a championship match, other predictors in the top five will get a shot at the belt even if they are lower in the rankings. This is being done to hopefully create more unique matches going forward.

Sky ended the night as a double champion winning both the WPC Grand Prix Event Championship and the !interactive Championship - earning themselves a future shot at the Grand Championship. They will also defend the !nteractive title against a challenging Jimmy King, whilst they will be ineligible to compete for the GPE Championship until they have competed in their Grand Championship match.

LadyHotRod remains the Clout Cup holder and is able to send an open to challenge to anyone outside of the GC Division, that isn't in possession of a championship belt. @LadyHotRod let me know in this thread who would plan on challenging.

Necro & Juice who make up the Shinjuku Murder Klub became the inaugural WPC Tag Team Wrestling Champions and will face the team that finished 3rd in the WPC Tag League Team Friendship (Blaze & Chris) in what will be the first defence of the titles.

The Wall of Deth (Deth & The Fourth Wall) will compete against The Lethal Drivers (Jeff & Lethal Banks) with the winner of that match, becoming the #1 contenders for the TTW Titles. ​
