WPC 2021 Event #9 [KOTR Round 1]

The next event in the WPC will take place in two week's time and be a double header event featuring both Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide's Triplemania XXIX & NJPW's Resurgence. There are three scheduled title match taking place at this event the matches for the Grand Championship, Open The Prediction Gate Championship and the Grand Prix Event Championship as showed below:

However, Event #8 isn't just focused on championship matches as this coming event will also see the return of the King of the Ring Tournament with seeding's having been decided based on the current overall standings. On this basis the predictor ranked in 1st will face off against the the predictor ranked in 16th, in an elimination style tournament. If matches result in ties, then tiebreakers will take place at subsequent event until their is only one singular winner from each matchup.

The sole winner of the tournament will earn themselves a future shot at the WPC Grand Championship, in which they will be able to decide prior to an event starting whether or not they wish to catch in their shot at the title. Perhaps deciding they would prefer to challenge for the strap, during a event they feel more confident about going in. Below is the current bracket for this year's tournament.

A card for the event will likely go up sometime next weekend, as there will be a two week gap between Event #7 & Event #9.
Predictors will be tagged as soon as the match card is posted.

It must also be noted that no championship belts will be up for grabs in KOTR contests.
