World Prediction Championship 2021 Event #4 Results
This week's event can only be described as a Super Card, as it saw the matches from both Impact's Slammiversary and WWE's Money in the Bank combined, in a night of first time title defence for the 2021 season. The first matchup that we look at, features the WPC Grand Prix Event Championship match which Smark enters as the current champion. Will he be able to defend the belt?
WPC Grand Prix Event Championship
Everyone Else
Event Championship | Name | Wins | Loss | Differential |
1st. | Lethal Banks | 8 | 4 | +4 |
Tied 2nd. | Smark | 6 | 6 | 0 |
Tied 2nd. | LadyHotRod | 6 | 6 | 0 |
4th. | Sky | 5 | 7 | -2 |
Tied 5th. | HoHo | 4 | 8 | -4 |
Tied 5th. | TFW | 4 | 8 | -4 |
In quite a clear cut victory, Lethal Banks would claim a clear victory - with a large part of this down to the fact that Lethal claimed the highest score for Money in the Bank 5-1 which pushed the scales in his favour and have resulted in becoming the new WPC Grand Prix Event Champion.
Lethal Banks
The next contest of the evening was originally scheduled as a fatal four way, but because Adapting didn't make any predictions it became a triple threat contest between Haza, Jimmy King & Juice in a contest for the Open The Prediction Gate Championship.
WPC Open The Prediction Gate Championship
Haza vs. Jimmy King vs. Juice
OTPG Championship | Name | Wins | Loss | Differential |
Tied 1st. | Juice | 7 | 5 | +2 |
Tied 1st. | Haza | 7 | 5 | +2 |
3rd. | Jimmy King | 6 | 6 | 0 |
The Open The Prediction Gate Championship remains vacant as neither Juice nor Haza could be separated when the Super Card came to an end, as a championship belt can not be cut in half. However, both predictors earn themselves a shot at the WPC Grand Championship at Event #5, which means that we have a triple threat match booked for next event's main-event.
It is now time to focus on the main-event of the evening though, as Chris comes into the match to defend the Grand Championship for the very first time this season.
WPC Grand Championship
Chris (c) vs. Jeff
Grand Championship | Name | Wins | Loss | Differential |
Tied 1st. | Chris | 8 | 4 | +4 |
Tied 1st. | Jeff | 8 | 4 | +4 |
In a true battle both Chris and Jeff end the night with scores of 8-4, but unlike the GPE Event Championship - if a match is tied then the champion holds the advantage. Meaning that Chris is still your WPC Grand Champion, whilst Jeff is left wondering what could have been. Both predictors must be congratulated on putting stellar performances.

As we look towards the future, Event #5 will be another two day event and be a NJPW Super Show as Summer Struggle in Nagoya & Wrestle Grand Slam will be up for prediction in the first New Japan event of the season. At this time, although we don't have a current Open The Prediction Gate Champion, both Haza and Juice have been announced the Grand Championship Challengers and they will face reigning WPC Grand Champion Chris in the night's main feature.
The match for the Open The Prediction Gate Championship will see our current highest ranked predictor Jeff, with a record of 23-8 be the first entrant to qualify for the matchup and they will battle with Jimmy King & Lethal Banks who are the next highest predictor not currently involved in other matches. Despite Adapting, also holding the same ranked as Jimmy and Lethal because he didn't make predictions at the last event he is ineligible to contest for the belt.
Although Lethal Banks is the current WPC Grand Prix Event Champion, his involvement in the number one contender match means that he will be unable to defend his belt meaning that for the rest of field a new champion will be crowned.
Complete overall standings of the season are show below and a card for Event #5 will be posted, sometime in the next few days.
