I wouldn't, if for no other reason than my wife probably not going with it. I'm not sure I would though, I would want my kid to "blend" in in terms of not giving them anymore reason to be made fun of other than those that kids these days find.

Haha! I would have to agree, I don't think my girlfriend would approve of any "unusual" names especially pertaining to wrestling. I'm not sure I would name my kid after a wrestler anyways, but I just can't see my significant other going for it.

I wouldn't, but "hunter" would be my choice if it was either a wrestler's name or death by fire. Hunter is damn fine name, and triple h is god, so...

I think it depends on the name. It would have to be a name that would sound good without context like Ric or Hunter, not Undertaker or Vader. That way people don't have to know you named them after a wrestler unless you want to tell them.

I personally don't have any I'd name a kid after, but I was recently thinking that River Song would be a good first and middle name so I'm not opposed to naming children for things you love. Also, from naming my pets I've noticed that after a while the name stops meaning "some character from a show you love" and just means "that pet who's annoying me right now." I have two pets named for characters in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, two for characters in Bleach, and one for a Grateful Dead song.

I realize pets and children are not the same, and I wouldn't name my kids the way I named my pets but my point is if it's a good enough name to stand on it's own outside of wrestling you'll probably stop associating it with wrestling and just associate it with your kid pretty quickly.
