A feud between John Cena and Daniel Bryan was brought up at a recent WWE creative meeting. This does not mean they are considering it for anytime soon but it was brought up and discussed.

So if it does happen it won't be for awhile, but don't you think this could be an interesting feud? even if it's non title, a heel Daniel Bryan vs. a face John Cena, could make for a very interesting feud. What do you guys think?

Would be interesting from a standpoint of the pure wrestler vs the guy who people once said couldn't wrestle. Have a little story line there with Bryan's WWE try out match years again being against Cena, the original nexus attack on Cena, etc. Would be interesting to see.

If Cena squashed him every match then yes, I could enjoy this.

That pretty much. Let it be one sided in smark towns just to laugh at the bitching

Because I rather see Show with that title, and Rey if he was health with the Raw strap or at least Miz. Because of this twitter bullshit that they created as breaking news every fucking match even on ppv. Because Cena gets too much hate and not enough respect for his work.

Totally lost me with the twitter part as that has nothing to do with Bryan. I think they should have held off on putting the title on Bryan but think they just fell in a situation of where they needed to start making that transition into the youth. Rey is a guy near the end of his career Show's best days are behind him so if you care about the company you should at least applaud them trying to push the youth for the better of the future of the company. I would see more of your point about Cena not getting his due if it actually wasn't as calm as it's ever been and actually gets more props nowadays than he would a few years back. He's never gonna get the smarks though just the way it is when someone becomes more and more successful. Hell it's happening with Punk lately as the more he's been pushed as a top face the more they started hating on him.

Rey is a guy deserving of a WWE title run, a real one at that. He has made them money, put on great matches, drew fans, and is HOF bound. He deserves a real run with the strap over the likes of Del Rio.

Show is a guy who came back in shape, has been putting in solid matches, can do it all, and history shows us only gets better when he has the strap to carry. Plus it would be a nice feather in his cap to be the only guy to win the WCW, WWF, WWE, ECW, and WHC in history. He is much more ready and much more well rounded than Bryan who isn't a believable threat at all to Henry or Show and hasn't been a threat at all to even guys like Cody one on one.

You call it calm when they are selling Cena Sucks shirts? They boo him and still can't you can't wrestle at the guy after countless great matches, countless great feuds, and being the hardest work for the company by a mile. It makes no sense, outside of Rock love, which is at least understandable

I'm not discrediting those guys but fact of the matter is you don't need to give out thank you title runs. I love Rey but guy is in no position to have a real title reign with his knees barely being able to hold up and is probably one more away from retirement. Big Show should have had a real title reign but he doesn't need it now. If WWE kept the mindset of giving vets passed their prime title reigns we never would have got John Cena the way we got him cause he wouldn't have got his shot.

And I call it calm from a fan standpoint he was hated on much much worse in previous years. Yeah he still gets the chants and shit but it's out of routine and trolling now to the point where Cena just laughs at it. WWE selling the shirts is them just trying to bank on whats already been going on and just finally got the okay from Cena on it because it's being used in his feud with Rock otherwise I don't think Cena would have okay'd it. To go from fuck you Cena and wanting him dead to just some routine trolling chants it's really not that bad.

I honestly have never bought into the "WWE need to push young guys" argument.

Yeah, it would probably do the company better in the long term if they had some direction and planning to get some 20-somethings over so they have names for the next decade or so. But wrestling is a short-term business, and I'd prioritise pushing INTERESTING guys over that.

For example, would you rather see Kane, or Tyler Reks. Kane might be in his forties, but hes infinitely more charismatic than his younger counterpart there.

They shouldnt bumrush into sticking young ass guys in the top positions just for the sake of it. Danielson is an absolute chore to watch, I'd sooner have Cena hogging the main event for another 10 yrs than see Danielson as WWE poster boy.

Anyway Im rambling now so Ill stop there, just wanted to offer a Cork insight.

I actually agree on not just shoving them into it and slapping a title on them. Hence why I said I think if u are gonna put the title on Bryan you keep building up to it rather than do it the way they did. But totally disagree on it being a short term business cause that attitude is why WCW ended up sucking and why TNA has been stinking up when thinking Hogan and Sting should be a main feud in 2011. Whether Bryan is a guy you think they should push or not all comes down to opinion and preference but what is fact that at the end of the day Cena is not always gonna be there, Taker has one foot out the door, HHH has already got his life after wrestling planned, etc.

Wrestling has always been a young man's game. You can't look at Big Show and Rey and say they still got their best days ahead of them or anything.

Hmm I get why they want to do it to try and get Bryan over more. A win over Cena would be huge for him but honestly I don't think anyone would buy it at all just this yet.

Would be an interesting feud to see late next year. Such different styles and fan bases and it would be a great opportunity for Bryan to work against someone like Cena. I can't see Bryan going over Cena but if it was booked as a reasonably even feud that would be a bonus.
