When it comes to great matches, we may not see them every week on RAW but there is always at least one at every PPV. With that being said... Imagine the best match is going on against ______ and ______ (or maybe it is a tag or triple threat) and it has had you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Move for move, everything was executed perfectly. Suddenly, something unexpected happens (not an injury but a planned finish) and the match ends badly. Be it the spot, the move for the pin, the pin in general, or the end result... Would a bad finish ruin a great match for you?

When I mean great, I mean GREAT and when I say ruin, I meant it has went from a 10 out of 10 to less than a 3 out of 10.

Honestly...I'm 95% of the time willing to accept whatever ending WWE wants to serve up...

Some times I do end up scratching my head in confusion...but I'm generally open-minded
about wrestling matches in general.

I enjoy the story telling aspect of a match...the back and forth...the emotions, the body
language, the moves, the chemistry between the wrestlers...and of course at the end
who gets the win.

There were 2 match endings this year that "annoyed" me...but I wouldn't say they ruined
the entire match for me.

The first was the Women's Triple Threat at Wrestlemania and the interference by Ric Flair...
Its bullshit because it undermined Charlotte winning and made Sasha look physically weak.
Flair should have not been there and Charlotte should have won on her own...

Or better yet...Becky should have won by turning heel and getting uber violent with a chair.
No DQ in a Triple Threat Match...everyone seems to forget that.

Charlotte winning was the safe booking option...and while I love Charlotte...her success should
not mean the other women in the division are held back.

The second was Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks at Hell in the Cell. While Charlotte is my Bae...
Streak or Not...Sasha should have won that match...and the ending was ridiculously scrappy.
The table was not placed at a vertical enough angle...and Sasha was simply not heavy enough
to go through it. Sasha should have driven Charlotte head first through the table and then locked
in the Bank Statement to get the win.

Again...these are just my opinions based on my observations...these ending did effect the
overall matches...but they didn't ruin them for me.

I don't know if I'd consider that match (Cesaro sheamus) in this category. I mean, sure the ending was a little shitty at the time... but it was done in a way that made both men look pretty good overall. They had 7 awesome matches and neither man lost the series. Then they get paired together and eventually won the tag titles, ending the streak of the new day. In the long view of things, that match ended almost perfectly. Foley did say the winner would qualify for a title shot, and they did.

I think it would depend on how big of a fan you are. Some die hard fans would consider that match ruined based on the ending. I get what you mean though.

(I meant to multi-quote this... setting a bad example here)

I really wanted Becky to win that match. At the time, I didn't like Charlotte much at all but I did like Becky. The match was really good as well and I agree that Ric kind of took away a lot of heat and momentum in the match itself by doing what he did. I am glad they kind of broke away from this. He was fine as a manager in the beginning but after so many interruptions it just got on my nerves. It didn't ruin the match for me but it would have been a lot better minus the Ric-moment.

I guess in a technical sense, in that specific moment, the match was maybe ruined. But I also feel like most of us (including myself at times) tend to look at the here and now. At this specific time point of view. But we seem to forget that we're watching an on going show. Storylines advance and morph. And while we may not agree with a certain match, in the long run, it usually works out. Whether it's in a week, month, or few months, this type of stuff takes time to progress. I still blame the Internet for this tbh. Because it's so easy to go online right after...hell during the show to voice our complaints about what just happened we forget what it used to be like to just soak in what they're giving us and look forward to the next week and what might happen.

Just my 2 cents lol

Long term wise, I agree but this is just short term perspective. A great match just ended in a bad way (in one sense or the other), how do you view it now kind of deal. I am sure a lot of people over-react but hey, that sometimes makes for some fun discussions.

Yeah I guess I went a little too deep with that one lol. I see what you're saying though for sure. There's plenty of times an ending makes me go "what the fuck" lol. But then I just try to look ahead and wonder what's planned for them

Like I've said...I respect Ric for everything he's done in and for the wrestling industry...
But...his time has past and it would be for his daughters benefit if he took a step back
and let her develop her own career and legacy.

Charlotte does not need anyone else...she is the alpha female of the WWE...and only
one woman can challenge her for that title...

And I cannot wait for that match...

Yes, absolutely.

That Sheamus vs Cesaro match at CoC is the prime example.

Oh, and every Charlotte/Sasha match that's ended with Charlotte regaining the title at PPVs ruined their matches for me.

Even I have to agree with you on that one...Sasha should have had at least one
successful pay-per-view title defense...well...in reality the feud should have ended
at Hell in the Cell with a hometown victory for Sasha...but...they have to keep that
pay-per-view streak going so Bayley can break it at Wrestlemania.

Dude...you know its bad when a Charlotte fanboy like me admits that she should
take a loss.
