Didn't really have a problem with The Cabinet other than they were obviously worse than Evolution which was slowly dying by the time the Cabinet picked up steam...but still alive enough for comparison.

So to be specific, we're talking just the 1999 gimmick or the gimmick as a whole, because I remember it not being awful at all in the early 90's.

It wasn't specified when nominated but I was under the impression that it was the '99 version just bc it being Owen was an angle where his original run as the Blazer was kinda just a basic masked high flyer

Assuming we're just going on the 98-99 Blazer run I'm with Chris. That run was so needless and depressing. A rumour I heard is that Owen was only put in the gimmick as punishment for not taking part in a soap opera storyline where he would be cheating on his wife (he didn't want to have to explain it to his kids).

The Blazer gimmick itself probably isn't the worst thing in the world ever. But because we saw how good Owen was when unmasked it probably makes it look worse.

I think JBL's Cabinet served its purpose and wasn't terrible.

I can’t bring myself to vote for Owen. It helps I’ve never been the biggest JBL fan so his cabinet gets my vote

JBL was great. The Cabinet was a good gimmick, it just happens Orlando Jordan sucks and The Bashams were nothing to write home about. As far as the gimmicks themselves go, I think The Cabinet is cooler than The Blue Blazer.
