Not satisfied with his daughter’s booking and direction?

She’s won the Women’s title about 37 times, ffs!

I read someone have the idea of Ric Flair coming in with Tessa Blanchard. That would be cool seeing an angle between Tully and Ric.

Admittedly, I haven’t seen the story play out.
But it does sound awful.

It seems to me a bit of an overreaction to me but knowing Flair, he probably needs the money from Tony Khan to pay off his numerous wives.

I did have a comment in the summerslam thread that the current women's feud on Raw might be my least favorite in history where I consider myself a fan of all 3 participants :lol that's special IMO

As long as he's just used in the capacity of a special attraction legend, doing segments here and there when it's relevant and popping the crowds in places like North Carolina... can't be mad at that.

He doesn't need to wrestle. He doesn't even need to manage. He can be a part time special attraction.

New Japan role out big names from their past to commentate on their major title bouts (or at least they did pre-Covid) - this is where Flair fits in, he creates the biggest connection to the WCW/NWA history that AEW very clearly want to make theirs. You can have all of the Jakes, Stings, Tullys and Arns that you want but there is no name more synonymous with old school wrestling than Ric Flair.

I'd have him present the belt to the Champion after World title bouts, commentate, or at least be rolled out ringside, for those matches and maybe be a talking head on some segments that breakdown how the AEW World Champion compares to Champions past or how Omega vs Cage compares to Flair against Steamboat (as an example).

There's room for him in AEW specifically because they embrace wrestling history and associating him specifically with the World Title does a lot for that title (in my opinion at least).

So Flair walked out with Andrade at last nights AAA show...

Konnan walked out with Omega to though, so that might mean something and it might not.

Not surprised at this. I hear he's quite close to Khan. If they use him in a Sting style role then it should be fine and he'll add something. I'm not really up for a new version of the Horsemen it just feels like its time to move on from them. Maybe a one night tribute would fine.

Fuck it, I’m sold. As long as it’s like this and I don’t have to see him on TV all the damn time :bosque or apart of storylines, or turning on Sting again.
