[WON] AEW injury updates on Danielson, Hayter, Rosa

Injury updates are available for several wrestlers on the AEW roster.

Our own Dave Meltzer addressed the status of Bryan Danielson, Thunder Rosa, and Jamie Hayter in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Regarding Danielson, he underwent surgery on 7/3 to repair the broken arm he suffered in his match against Kazuchika Okada at Forbidden Door. He's expected to be out until October but returning in time for AEW Grand Slam in September is not entirely out of the question.

"Bryan Danielson got his surgery for his broken arm on 7/3 and at the time was told three months before he could return, although it’s possible he could beat that by a week or two," Meltzer wrote.

Regarding Jamie Hayter, she isn't expected back until February. The former AEW Women's World Champion hasn't wrestled since Double or Nothing 2023 in May.

"The current estimated return time for Jamie Hayter is February, due to various injuries, although that’s at best a rough estimate," Meltzer wrote.

Thunder Rosa has been training for an in-ring return but is not expected back in time for All In.

"As of this week, add Thunder Rosa to the list of those who are not expected back in time for Wembley although she is training for her return," Meltzer wrote.

Rosa hasn't wrestled in nearly a year due to injuries to her lower back. Her last match was on an episode of Dark: Elevation on 8/10 last year.

Genuinely asking, does anyone miss Thunder Rosa? Seemed like when she was around people wanted her gone and now that seems to have shifted.

Rosa was fucking awesome when she was healthy, I for sure miss her (and am also a Britt fan)

I miss Rosa. She isn't the best on the mic. But I really enjoy most of her in ring work.

I don't even think she is that bad on the mic either, she had one bad live promo. her pre-tapes were usually fine or good

Eh, I'll respectfully disagree. I think the only promo I actually thought was decent from her is the one like right after she won the title. But that's cause I felt like it was geniune emotion and usually if that's in a person's promo it does tend to be good.

Why was Britt mentioned lol? I was just asking about Rosa, but I get the generally feel about her. Personally, I am just in the middle. Don't hate her, but also not a massive fan of her either.

So you wouldn't assume I hated her bc I'm a Rosa fan since you have to pick sides between them apparently

And you brought up that the internet seems to like Rosa now when they hated her last year....that's bc they switched their hate to Britt instead lol

I think most of the hate dissipated when they stripped Rosa of the title and people realized hey maybe she's actually hurt

Then the reality show from before she was stripped of the title aired and Britt had the same complaints fans had about the interim title and was basically pushing everyone to agree with her that Rosa should have dropped the belt before leaving

There will be a report of Rosa being mean to someone at an indie show again and they'll switch up tho

I think Rosa is good but I haven't missed her if that makes sense. However the women division needs all the help it can get so hopefully with Shida as champion and Rosa back soon it can get better.

Also no Hayter or PAC or Danielson at Wembley
