Women in the wwe...

Okay so i know there was already a topic on the womens championship,this may might be put in the bitching thread,i dont know.

Some may not even give a damn...

but I had got into a discussion elsewhere about Candice Michelle,and got heat for saying that I wont give her credit for making some improvement.

And what i tried to explain to some people ( an obviously fail) is that I believe that if they had a male in the wwe given a title when they didn't have strong in ring skills,it wouldnt be a different story. And i know many people could argue that this does happen,and yes at times it does, but should we just turn our back to it because it's the divas?

If Cody Rhodes won the wwe title next week, People would have something to say about it...but if Cherry were to win the womans title,nothing?

I may be just because I am female and am one of the few people who think that having a credible womans chamion is important.

so does anyone think that It's a joke that I would actually like to see the wwe hire more talented female wrestlers?

I know alot of it wasn't exactly explained very well, as I'm not exactly a wrestling expert and am hardly Kaedon when it comes to this kind of thing..

You make some good points. But from the day the Women's Title was brought into the WWE, it has never received equal fotting with the male titles, espeically over the past twenty years. The fact is, the Women's Title means nothing to WWE and is there purely to satisfy the politically correct / equal rights campaigner's who would jump all over WWE if they got rid of the Women's title (as happened previously).

Becuase the title / division is an after thought in WWE, they don't care if the Champion is credible or not. Lets face it, although most people would want to see every Champion / Title be credible, a majority of WWE fans are male and don't care for the Women's division. They just want to see T&A, hence the reason why candice is your current Women's Champion.

Now, I do agree that the title should be given more credibility and actually wrestler's should be in the division like previously (Victoria/Jazz/Molly Holly/Trish/Lita/Chyna, etc.), but in WWE's eyes, the division doesn't 'sell' so they put the title on bikini models.

It sucks, but live with it.

Womens wrestling will always play second fiddle to mens wrestling. It has always been, and will always be treated like a red headed stepchild. That being said, with its nature and all, I think the WWE are promoting it just like that, no more, no less and I dont particularly have a problem with it.

I don't really care for women's wrestling. I feel that they're just taking up valuable time on the show. If you're a good looker, then I wouldn't mind the odd bikini show. If a woman is a good wrestler, then they should be able to compete against the guys. I just don't think that women should be wrestling each other if they're not as good as the guys.

I totally agree with that. I actualled enjoyed watch Chyna in the ring with the men, I respected her for that, and I think that more women should be in matches with men.

the women championship is treated like an whore since Trish left. Mickie James has been the best champion for it since trish and Lita left.

Mickie james, Victoria are the best ones in wwe. Beth is decent too. the other are either average or just plain out shit

I don't care much for the women's div much i either make a cuppa when they are on or fast4ward if I've recorded it.And i agree with above posts that they should have matches with the men like chyna did back in the day.They are all trained to fall and land right when fighting each other so why cant they do it against the men.im not saying do away with women's division but just for them to have the odd match against the men maybe 1 match a week or summat like that,then women's wrestling would gain for credibility and it would make it a bit more interesting

there are pretty good women wrestlers around the world but i don't think wwe cares,wwe looks for eye candy rather than actual wrestling ability when it comes to its women's division.

The WWE's womens division is a joke, and always has been in my eyes.

Out of the entire list of Divas, only Trish Stratus, Victoria, Lita, Mickie James and Chyna (if she is indeed a woman) have had henuine wrestling talent.
The rest are models that have been trained up to wrestle and it's so evident during their matches.


Fact is, WWE has a woman's division n to give pubescent teenagers something to jack off to and to balance out the sexual equality argument.

You're right just like John Cena, great entertainer, excellent on the mic but his in ring skills just doesn't cut it to be champion i believe, however i won't make this yet another Cena bashing thread.

But everything you say is pretty much to the T. The problem with the WWE and it's womens division is that it hires DIVAS not female WRESTLERS. Apart from Victoria, Mickie James,Melina and Phoenix, there are no other females that can wrestle. You are right, sure Candice has improved but to make her champion?

I hate it how they have such good talent in those four women yet never give them decent storylines to build prestige to the title. I say fire Candice, Maria, Extreme Expose, Wilson and any others they get paid decent amounts of money to stand there look pretty and strip. No i'm not gay, but when i watch wrestling i wanna see wrestling. If i wanted smut and stuff i have other places i can go for that. Women can put on great matches that rival men's matches, i've seen it and they're unbelievable, hell they could hire some Japaneese women who are machines in the ring.

But McMahon never listens to the public. All well, hope the womens division in TNA doesn't flop.

Why are females even in wwe? I think they are just there to be hot and stuff why do they have to wrestle and waste tv time? No one wants to see them. Instead of wrestling they could do like strip poker and shit because people like that.
