Women in Football?

Now as you know recently Andy Gray was sacked by Sky Sports and Richard Keys left due to sexism comments they made. Now, I was just wondering what are your views on women in Football. Myself? I have no problem with them. They are doing their job, trying to earn their living doing something they enjoy, and if they've come through all the training and got to a high level through much diversity that they must of gone through whilst earning their referee badges then it's a good achievement for them. I did not even notice that women were doing it but when I did I thought it was great. There is nothing against women as fans, or even on the board of the clubs i.e Karen Brady and Delia Smith so they have all the right in the world to be a lines woman or even a ref...Discuss.

As long as they're doing their job properly, I don't care.

The woman liner who did the Wolves vs. Liverpool match made a great decision. Four days later in the next Liverpool match we have a male liner and he made a bad call, where we scored a perfectly legal call and it was disallowed. That pissed me off more than any sexist issue; when a bad decision costs your team goals.

As I said, I'm happy with women in football as long as they do their job properly. Karren Brady, on the other hand, pisses me off. She runs football clubs in a poor and disruptive way, and then bemoans sexism. She did concentrate on doing her job properly rather than trying to make excuses why everybody thinks she'd a poor MD.

It doesn't matter what gender they are, if they make the right calls then they should have a job, if they screw up they should be dropped. That line call in the game last week was a fantastic call and she showed that she can do her job properly. They go through the same training to be able to do the job so I have no issue with women in sport.

Spot on Troy, really this shouldn't be an issue for debate. It is nataual progression, and it is about them being equal, so if they mess up they should be critised like a male offical is, and like wise when they do a good job, they should get just as much priase as male offical would.
