Woman of the Hour(2024)

Anna Kendrick’s directorial debut, Woman of the Hour, is set in 1970s Los Angeles when an aspiring actress (Kendrick) crosses paths with a serial killer (Daniel Zovatto) on the set of the popular show, The Dating Game. Woman of the Hour premieres on Netflix, October 18.

I think I remember seeing a Doc on Rodney Alcala so I know the Story. Kendrick's Directorial Debut as well I gotta check this one out.​

I'm obviously a little biased being the crazy Anna Kendrick fan that I am but I thought this was totally amazing. She absolutely nailed it and was so good at starring in and directing this. I'd easily put it up there as one of the best Netflix movies and I was so happy when I noticed it was on there. The direction for me was absolutely flawless, it is super absorbing right from the beginning scenes and never once lets up or lost my attention at any point, I was totally captivated by it. I thought the pacing was completely was on point and it flew by for me as I was watching it. I had heard the real life story and seen the clip of the Dating Game which intrigued me about this but didn't know everything about it. Daniel Zovatto was really great as Rodney Alcalala, he makes you feel so uncomfortable in every scene he's in, I was at the edge of my seat so many times. The script was great.
