A woman seemingly dressed like a mime attacked a 20-year-old University of Georgia student as she walked to class early this week, according to a report in OnlineAthens.com.
The assault on West Broad Street Wednesday was stopped by a motorist who saw the attack as he drove by, police told OnlineAthens.com.
The alleged attacker, 37-year-old Stephanie C. Walker, of Athens, was dressed in all black and her face painted white, according to police.
The student, who had a bruise to her face, told police she had parked her car near Newton Street and was walking to class around 11 a.m. when Walker approached, began yelling at her and accused the student of watching her on TV.
The student told police she tried to explain that she didn’t have a TV, but Walker began cursing her, grabbed her ponytail, started hitting her and pushed her to the ground.
Walker was searched at the jail and a straight razor was found in her purse, police said. She was charged with battery, and will have a mental evaluation, onlineathens reported.
