Typical Gohan, but I actually agree with this. If CM Punk is the only relevant heel they're going to let get heat on himself (sorry Sandow and Zeb, you aren't relevant) to the point where you're chomping at the bit to watch somebody kick his scrawny little ass, he should be main eventing. His match with Undertaker had the most heat, the best build, the most anticipation. If that's the case next year (and it probably will be) Punk's match should be in the main event.

Nobody wanted to see Rock and Cena. Match quality does matter, and despite it being such a finisher-fest and predictable people wanted to see Taker/Shawn II because the first one was a classic. Rock and Cena? Part 1 drew because of generations colliding, a big can't miss dream match between 2 of the 4 biggest stars in WWE History. For you to pull off the rematch, match 1 had to leave us wanting more. Did they do that? No. Same with Brock/Triple.

We say it all the time, but maybe this is WWE's wake up call. On the go home show #wweisboring trended on Twitter. WM got an awful buyrate, the show after was mainly memorable for an unintentional top face winning MITB and the crowd, and this week ratings went down the toilet and said hi to the quality of the show. The writings on the wall, they've gotta change something, but we all know they won't.

I hope its shocking so we can get rid of the old timers and promote ppl like Punk, Bryan, Ziggler, Fandango, Ryback, The Shield, Big E, Generico and a few others in NXT. Time to push the new stars. Imagine a well built WM with the names above being the stars for us it'd be a fap fest.

Time to push new stars, as well as a newly improved product.

I'm certainly not "shocked" but a part of me still expected them to get good numbers. Mates of mine who don't even like wrestling buy WM just for the sake of it. The matchcard and the buildup to it are irrelevant for them. Thankfully a lot of the regulars decided to give WWE the finger and didn't buy it.

Serious question: How do UK buys/Euro buys count towards buy rates? I know they are cheaper, do they count at all? I think it might just be North American buys that count, or maybe 2 UK buys = 1 US buy. No idea I'm just wondering since I know the price is a lot less.

I've wondered this as well to be honest. I've always wondered why they don't just give us separate numbers for each country/continent. @Shabang might know how it works?

They do. They do domestic buys for US/Canada and International for overseas. And they combine them to give the overall number. The cost for different countries isn't factored into it, mainly because the international number is so low compared to domestic, it doesn't effect much on the financial front.

Too bad. Wrestlemania is gonna do huge every year because of brand name alone (regardless of the card) but them hitting at least below a million would be considered a disappointment, especially this year with Rock and Brock on the card. Now we have to likely sit through Rock/Cena III next year, unless Rock really does stay retired.
