No hype for this! Last year we had Rock, Austin etc.... What they pulling out in that regard? In terms of a card I don't care would rather it be an NXT card these guys must know something we don't tho as why would Steen, Devitt sign etc.... Invasion HHH takes, over lets do this?

Keep in mind that Rock and Austin were not involved in the promotion or hype for Wrestlemania. Other than some backstage rumors on the day of Wrestemania that they were in New Orleans, there wasn't any previous indication that they would show up.

I dunno, before I replied I did some searching to be sure. I wanted to be sure I knew what I was talking about before I opened my big mouth and seemed like a jerk :D I wasn't able to find anything.

But on the other hand, it was Wrestlemania 30, so being a multiple of 10, it makes sense that there would be some big names appearing.

For the most part I agree about what you said in regards to the hype, though. There hasn't been much and this hasn't seemed like a road to Wrestlemania. More like the Road to Smackdown.

Nothing about this WM has been hyped,. We have had more hype for NXT events in recent years! For me it's like VKM has passed the baton but not for the main stage of WM. All recent events feel like they have built or are building maybe just me but I think VKM is gone I see HHH well in charge soon as NXT is the bomb maybe its a feud??????

I was watching an interview with Vince McMahon where he said that he was a third generation promoter who grew up in the business. He said this gave him an insight that other promoters didn't have. It was a shot at Ted Turner, but I honestly think he believed it. This is in spite of the fact that Vince did not grow up in the business and never even met his father until he was 12 and did not become involved in the wrestling business until he was 23.

I think Vince's success has likely convinced him that he can do no wrong. He honestly believes that no one can do the job as good as he could. I think it's obvious to many of us that HHH is the better promoter based on what he has done with NXT and the ambassador work he has done. It's no small feat that he brought Bruno Sammartino, a man who grew to despise the WWE and Vince McMahon and modern wrestling as a whole back and into the HOF.

Honestly, I guess I can't say I know for sure what will happen on that day when Steph and HHH take more control of the company. But I'm very interested to find out. I honestly think it's possible that if they can elevate the main roster to the standards that NXT now sets, they could send wrestling into a third boom period.

IMO the boom has begun look at the depth HHH has brought into NXT. Owens, Balor, Neville, etc.... He is planning ahead there must be something we don't know or else why would you as Steen sign up for development?

Wow, you know it's bad when people are now getting more hyped for NXT and other shows and WWE have fucked up the RTWM.

We could've had this:

Lesnar vs Bryan w/ Seth Rollins cash in for the WWE WHC
Orton vs Rollins
Divas match
Sting vs Triple H
Reigns vs Rusev for the US title
Wyatt vs Undertaker
Cody vs Goldust
Miz vs Mizdow
Barrett vs Ambrose vs Cena vs R-Truth vs Ziggler vs Harper for the IC title
Pre-Show:
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Brass Ring Club vs Usos vs Team 3D for the tag team titles

Now that it's gone down in the history books.

I have to say I haven't enjoyed a WrestleMania like this for a very, very long time. I was marking out left and right. This really was one of the best Mania's in the last 10 years. And it lived up and maybe even exceeded WrestleMania standards.

Ooooh yeah, this Mania lived up to its standards.
It wasn't a 10/10, but it was miles better than the shitty build-up for it we had to watch.
Aaand, I was actually pleasantly surprised that I found myself enjoying the show.

It would've been so much better if we got a proper build up and if they got rid of a few dodgy booking decisions (Big Show winning the ARMBAR and Sting jobbing to Triple H), so it's a shame. Of course, WWE always seems to have a stick up their collective ass and want to spoil something that could be so perfect.

This was the best Wrestlemania, overall, that I've ever seen. Every match had its own special touch. The crowd was great, entrances, and the entire show was well laid out. Top that with Rollins cash in.... Easily my favorite mania yet. I will pat WWE on the back for this one.

It was a good WM, but my favorite is still when Shawn Micheals rode that wire out to the ring at WM12 in that flashy outfit and he won the title.

EDIT: IN the montreal screwjob! forgot that was WM12

It was definitely better than expected, but then again, I expressed my optimism in an earlier thread that it could easily turn out as such. It wasn't the card on paper that looked bad, but rather the fact that the build lacked in many ways, plus the dread of seeing a babyface as cold as Roman Reigns getting to dethrone The Beast. I'm proud to say the show delivered.

Highlight Of The Night: Seth Rollins having the GOAT Money In The Bank cash-in. Him deciding to do so while the Brock/Reigns match was still ongoing on was a brilliant piece of booking that made for a perfect ending. Awesome.

Biggest Annoyance Of The Night: The commentators (mainly JBL) continuously burying WCW during the HHH/Sting match. OK, we get it. It's still a small thorn in your sides that WCW had your number for a couple of years back in the day. But you won the war 14 years ago and Sting even expressed in his promo last Monday that he wasn't fighting for WCW's honor since it would be a rather frivolous thing for him to do at this point, but the commentary as well as including D-X (on the winning side) and the NWO (on the heel side) was pretty much designed as one last shot at WCW. I'm not even mad that HHH won since it was about time he won a big match again, but still.
