Honestly, it's good on NJPW to realize there's a high chance he's not coming back as a proper roster member and give him the clear to start negotiations now. Love Will or hate him, when Omega left to form AEW, he was the foreigner who filled that Gaijin ace role (partially filled by Jay also) and did it well.
