A little over two years ago, BRIAN FURY was seen on Ring of Honor Wrestling television in a ROH World Television Title match against then-champion Matt Taven. Fury had won a four-way Proving Ground match on ROH TV the week before to earn his opportunity and the stars seemed to finally align for the New England star and trainer to get his shot at the big time.

Fury came up short to his fellow New Englander Taven and has not been seen on ROH TV since. But members of his learning tree have. Fury watched with pride, and a pang of jealousy, as student Donovan Dijak defeated three opponents to earn his Ring of Honor contract through the 2015 Top Prospect Tournament. Fury has continued to work on his craft and carrying the legacy of Killer Kowalski’s New England Pro Wrestling Academy as its head trainer while pupil Sasha Banks has become one of the most talked about stars in wrestling.

Fury has seen trainees and friends like Michael Bennett and War Beard Hanson vault to the top of ROH, contributing to the notion that New England is wrestling’s best kept secret for new talent, while Fury himself trains emerging stars and bides his time for his opportunity. After reinventing himself and getting into the best shape of his life, Fury made a deal with ROH officials: Fury would get another shot at an ROH contract but he would start at the bottom and have to earn it through the 2016 Top Prospect Tournament!

One thing has been made clear through Fury’s entry in the 2016 Top Prospect Tournament: he is ready to show the world the skills and strategies that have led his pupils to worldwide success can lead the man himself to a ROH contract. While Fury isn’t your prototypical prospect, his worldwide experience, including extended time in Mexico, make Fury an interesting dark horse if not sentimental choice to win the tournament that begins in Charlotte and ends in Nashville!

Ardent ROH fans know that Fury has a winning record in ROH competition and it will only take three more wins for Fury to earn a ROH contract! Will Fury run the gauntlet and become the next ROH contracted talent? Be the first to know by attending the first rounds of the 2016 TPT in Charlotte and the finals in Nashville!
