Through his translator Ranjin Singh, former champion The Great Khali has exercised his rematch clause for the World Heavyweight Championship. The match has been made by General Manager Theodore Long – a Punjabi Prison Match – at No Mercy on Sunday, Oct. 7.
The Punjab Giant will look to rebound from his defeat in the Triple Threat Match at Unforgiven, a match which saw Batista’s odyssey to the top of the SmackDown mountain finally capped with gold. But now, Batista faces his first major test since claiming the title from the more than 7-foot monster Khali, in one of the most brutal matches in WWE history.
Will Batista’s reign as champion be short-lived, or will The Animal be able to defeat The Great Khali in the confines of the bamboo-surrounded ring? The bigger question is, can the Punjabi Prison contain the hatred between Khali and Batista?

Great... hopefully this won't fuck up the HIAC or Elimination Chamber plans somewhere along the road soon... for Orton/Cena or others on RAW.

Even though it's posted on WWE.com, i still think they won't go through with it.

I'm hoping for Taker to annhilate Khali & put him out of action for good (Kayfabe wise)... & then go on his title quest... Afterall, what was the point of Taker motioning for the title if he doesn't get a shot!

He's still got maybe one more match with Henry left to go. Maybe. Or a quick squash over some no name. I don't think they'll switch the belt to him that quickly.

Game on for No Mercy, this is going to be awesome seeing that in person, plus Last man standing, best PPV of the year

No Mercy could very well be the best PPV of the year....

Now, to why Khali is getting a rematch, well, usually when a champion loses...they get a rematch. Should be interesting to see this match, since Khali wasn't even in it last time. Batista is definitely going over. I am surprised that this was announced on wwe.com and not on Smackdown. Seems like a big announcement to break on wwe.com.

Maybe we'll see Undertaker Vs. Henry again...or perhaps Undertaker will do battle with Finlay or something like that.

The first Prison Match was Big Show vs Undertaker...two great wrestlers...and the match was like 30 mins of horrible crap with a shitty finish. Now we have Batista and Khali...two people who WWE doesnt really trust to put on long or entertaining matches.....this is gonna be a horrible clusterfuck match....something may finially top the kennel from hell catastrophie.....and this seems to be it. other than that the PPV seems to look good.....assuming Orton can finally win the belt...tho no one can put SuperCena down for a 10 count...UGH

I'm waiting for WWE.com to post Khali's release. I can see him being released by the end of the year, once he's done some more high-profile jobs (Batista/Rey/Undertaker/etc.). Now he's had his day in the sun, he should be jobbed out and released.

As for the PPV match, it makes sence, even though the match will suck. I was very surprised to see Batista win the title, but now he's got it, he should defend against Khali, turn heel and have a mini-feud with Rey and then drop the belt to Taker, setting up his title feud with a returning Edge.

It looks as though NO Mercy is a re-hash of Unforgiven: Batista/Khali (minus Rey), Cena/Orton, Undertaker/Henry (possibly). How creative.

Another win with the spinebuster. That should be very fun to watch.

Wrong.

Wikipedia said:
There are no pinfalls, submissions or disqualifications. The only way to win the match is to escape both the structures.

Right.

So he cant hit a spinebuster and escape? :g:

Anyway, now that I see that, I bet he will lose with a Tista style Spear through the "wood" and Khali hits first....

Well wwe.com is always NOT the best place to go for spoiling storylines lol. They won't carry on with the translator thingy, or whatever kinda crap that is.
