Ryback is about decimating his opponent. His opponent in this case is CM Punk and not the referee so his objective is to get CM Punk, it's clear that he's after retribution and he's getting closer to it while looking like the dominant guy. Ryback doesn't need to complain as he's about destroying, eating and dominating his opponents - just like John Cena said he's not about winning the Championship but about destroying someone. The referee got annihilated by Ryback at HITC, so I guess they made up for that there and then instead of continuing the storyline with the referee. Ryback isn't going to complain but he's going to leave it in the ring.

But why would Ryback not be annoyed at the referee? Yes he chucked him against a cell at HIAC, that doesn't mean he has everything answered? Besides, they created this character Brad Maddox, they have made him 'ruin' the main event at HIAC, then they have done absolutely nothing about it the next week on Raw? That's fucking ridiculous whatever way you look at it.

I'm stunned that anyone is even arguing this to be honest. Ryback just did the EXACT same thing he's done pretty much every week, go on about food chains, say 'feed me more' and beat people up. It's growing tedious for me, and seeing him go about trying to get answers out of Brad/Vickie/Punk is much more interesting tbh.

I believe Brad Maddox will have involvement at Survivor Series and cost either team, possibly to go against team Punk for retribution.

I totally understand where your coming from don't get more wrong however I feel like with Ryback's current character he doesn't need to bring it up because the casual viewers and the commentators said that the referee cost Ryback the belt meaning everyone know's he has the capability of beating CM Punk therefore not feeling the need to complain as he'll get him back one way or another - it's currently showing that.

Ryback ignoring it can be justified, but it's just not capitalizing on what they created at HIAC and it just shows a complete lack of imagination IMO.

I would rather he doesn't have an involvement in the second PPV in a row. That would mean the Ryback/Punk storyline continuing for longer, which is gonna be hard to sort out with only TLC left? Unless they have Punk go over cleanly at TLC of course. In saying that, I doubt they have put that much thought into it at the moment.

I don't know. I really don't know at the moment. This entire thing is a mess.

I agree it's a mess. I believe they'll sort it out shortly though and all the pieces off the puzzle's will fall in place once they get their heads around what to do with the current story-line and the involvement of Brad Maddox. It's all a mess.

Yeah, they had to protect both guys, Russoed their way out of the match and didn't think of anything to continue the storyline. Classic. They're probably going to act as if we forgot it next week or something.

I would have liked for Ryback to at least mention in passing (right after talking about wanting to eat Punk) that "I also haven't forgotten about you, Maddox. And I will be coming for you shortly. Blah, blah, blah, etc."

I do think (hope) that they will follow up on it eventually. I don't know who Brad Maddox is, or whether he's some indy guy they pulled out of thin air just to play a short role or if he's a guy they're planning on adding to the full time roster eventually, but if it's the latter, I would expect a follow up. They did show footage of him from a month or two ago screwing up the Punk/Cena match by not seeing Punk's foot on the rope, so it was cool bringing him back for HIAC, as it really makes it look like this ending was planned out all along in advance, although it obviously wasn't (then again, maybe it was but with Cena instead? Would have been more fitting in that case...)

Anyway, I predict he'll make some sort of comeback at Survivor Series (if not before then), and then maybe he and Ryback will fight at TLC? (Total squash match, of course.)

Kevin: Maddox was a WWE developmental wrestler who tag teamed with Dolph Ziggler's younger brother for a year or two before being asked if he wanted to become a main roster referee.

The easy way out was to have Ryback find Maddox backstage, grab him, throw him against the wall, yell "Finish It" or something, see the fear in Maddox's face so casuals could say "Oh shit, he's gonna get it!", just for Punk to make the save with his roundhouse, and Ryback no-sells it and runs after Punk, keeping the fans' wanting the babyface to get his revenge. Simple.

Guess that's too "edgy" with November 6th around the corner.

He was no where to be found at RAW.

What do you mean by, "No follow-up with Brad Maddox?"

@[JohnCenaFan] They mean that the story which was told with Maddox costing Ryback needed to be addressed. Like in any TV show if they do something big it needs to be followed up on. It would be like Dumbledore dying in Harry Potter without and explanation. An explanation needs to be given to why the guy who played Maddox punched the guy who plays Ryback in the nuts so that they can continue the story.
