Same. It's odd that people say the forum is lacking in wrestling talk, yet the only time you are bound to get replies is in the wrestling section or HIAT.
HIAT obviously gets more action than the rest of the forum, largely because wrestling in general sucks, and has sucked, for a while now. I hadn't logged in for about two weeks and when I logged in yesterday, there still weren't a hell of a lot of new topics in the wrestling section.
I personally think that HIAT takes away from the rest of the forum. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy HIAT, but it seems to attract more people and encourage spamming. It also puts people in the flaming mindframe. With the rest of the forum lacking a lot of activity, more people hang out in HIAT longer and the flaming here turns into a bit of a habit and you sometimes forget that other sections are not HIAT but you post like you're in HIAT. Everyone knows there should be no flaming outside of HIAT but it still happens and I think that if we didnt have a section dedicated to flaming, it wouldn't carry on outside of HIAT. I wont speak for others but I can certainly say it becomes a habit and I carry it outside HIAT at times. Most of it is let go but then you get mods picking and choosing certain people to infract. It should be fair across the board.
At the same time, nazi mods are a huge turn off. If there are mods handing out infractions for every little thing or making posts in which they are acting as if a mod position in a forum makes them better than other people, it's a turn off and people wont want to post here anymore. We already lost a bulk of members, most of which were useless, but some of which did contribute fairly well and did keep discussions going. We have a lot of people logging in but only about a handful who actually post. This place can't really afford to lose the small bunch we have now and most new people probably take a look at how little responses wrestling sections get and they simply fuck off and find a better wrestling forum with activity.
I don't want to say get rid of HIAT, because we all know what happened the last time, but, I do think HIAT is one of the things that kills the forum. Everyone hangs out here and fucks around instead of adding to other sections of the forum yet if we take it away, the people who just hang out here will leave and there will be even less activity.
Also, Pat Patterson is SO clearly an alt.....yet he is allowed to continue posting useless, stupid, unfunny posts. Why? I just read a thread in which regular members who actually do some contributing are getting infractions yet this idiot isn't banned yet. It makes no sense at all. They are most likely using a proxy or someone else's computer if the IP wasn't caught as a match with anyone else's here but you don't need that to see that the account is a troll. Fucking ban shit like this.
