I see this guy on tv weekly, why should I be excited now? I'd rather see Low-Ki return. I know theres been bad blood between he, and "management" but that was what? 3 years ago? Besides, I'm pretty certain Gabe was one of the guys he had problems with...well, with Gabe gone, why not make this happen? Do your fuckin job Cary Silkin!

With Aries, Danielson, and Nigel already in matches, we're probably gonna get something along the lines of Samoa Joe vs Tyler "I kick out of finishers, people go ape shit, I still lose xD" Black...

what the hell is Tyler Black anyway? Heel? Face? hopefully someone knows, because I sure as hell dont

Nah i'm pretty sure it's gonna be Joe vs. Go (Catchy name xD) and yeah I agree with you that Low Ki > Joe. But I don't think we'll see him back anytime soon...>_>

As for Tyler I think he's technically heel he just gets cheered, I dunno really. =/

Tyler is still a heel (Officially), he just happens to get cheered in every match >_>

Low-Ki has been doing well for himself in New Japan, so I don't see him going back to ROH for the time being.

They are looking for ratings. Joe as a TNA "performer" :shifty: or sorry he is not in WWE, I meant a TNA "wrestler", he is just a huge star. They will suck him up till dryness! They will try to give him as much TV time and ring appearance as possible.

ROH isn't on tv, nor will joe be on the PPV, so ratings wouldn't increase at all.

I think Joe's return is simply just to add buzz to Joe and ROH. I think more fans will be in Chicago now. I think DVD sales will be as good as any ROH show. I don't feel Low Ki, is AS big of a draw as Joe. Yes it will be nice to see Low Ki return full time, but i think we just have to wait and see. I think eventually he will return.

Now I have barely any knowledge of indies whatsoever but I've heard about Homicide returning recently and now Samoa Joe is too and I may be completely off with what I am thinking but I think it may just be a matter of RoH getting worried that they are going to lose their older fans.

Now I know Joe and Homicide were both former champs in RoH and are pretty much considered as legends by the fans but with them both in TNA now, RoH may feel that without some of thse bigger names that they once had, they may be losing some fans to TNA (who have a growing fan base) so RoH may just be bringing back some of the old names like Joe and Homicide to try and "keep hold" of the fans for the time being.

As I said I may be completely off but it is a possibility in my eyes...

DVD sales have been down, so they're hoping to release one show that will sell a bunch (Which is why Joe was added to an already loaded card).

As far as Low-Ki is concernced, what made him great back in the day is that he was unique. There was no one else in the indy scene as stiff as he was. These days, everyone and their mother works stiff, so the novelty of someone like Low-Ki has worn off.

Because he has star power. It doesn't matter whether or not we've seen him on TV before, the fact is, he's a draw. And ROH is smart to use him while they can

like everyone else said, Joe is probably the biggest draw that can be used on the indies as of right now. it makes sense that he's going to be at the Chicago show, because of BFG which was just in Chicago. Until ROH starts to draw better numbers, we could be seeing more veterans/former WWE guys.

as much as I'd like to see Ki back in ROH, I think it would be a good idea for a one show or weekend type of deal, but I don't think it would be worth it if he became a regular.

What would bring the lost fans back is a storyline, not a return.

lol you guys are overrating Samoa Joe's "star power"

in terms of maybe....dvd sells or w/e ROH is trying to accomplish with this, is there that much of a difference between Low-Ki and Joe? Lets be real, Joe or no Joe, general fans arent checking for ROH regardless. As far as an indy crowd goes, I'd say Low-Ki is on par with Joe. I mean, its not like Drivin is gonna sell a million copies because Joe's on the card  In my opinion, Ki is a better worker than Joe, and I'd rather see him return for 1 night only, if not full time.

Who knows though, maybe with ROH's past/ongoing relationship with TNA, Joe was an easier target.

Yeah thats why he is not in WWE.
on a side note, thats one of the reasons why Batista > Joe. :p

Anyway, yes I got it mixed abit about the rating with selling DVDs. Joe is known more to other wrestling fans because he appears more in TV (in TNA), while ROH wrestlers are known less by fans as they are mostly known by their appearances in arena's mostly.

But imo, Bryan Danielson is a bigger draw than Joe. But just having his name there in the roster will boost things for ROH.

rofl Wrestling Station is right tho

Batista can sell out an entire event, he's proven it. He's main-evented sold out shows, and is known around the world...can the same be said about Joe? he's a more entertaining in-ring performer, no doubt, but...that doesn't necessarily mean a lot.

Batista > Joe

But I swear the reason most RoH fans watch RoH is 'cause of the peoples wrestling ability compared to WWE and not the guys abilities to sell out shows?

LMFAO!!! Samoa Joe pwns Batista in so many ways, he knows how to wrestle, I am pretty sure he isn't on drugs and can cut a good promo. Batista has the same basic moves as any other big guy on steroids, just ask Bobby Lashley and his spear. Yeah Batista can sell out a show and hype better but that is only because he is in WWE, they chose to push him and make him M/E and pretty much eveyone WWE do that with selld out shows because WWE tends to sell out alot more. If Joe was doing what he does in WWE he would be WAY more liked because so much more people watch WWE then ROH and TNA. Joe is an alright choice since he is pretty much an ROH legend and can put on great matches but they could have had anyone, Low Ki would have been good or Christopher Daniels since he would actually be Daniels and not Curryboy...Anyways, Joe > Big Gay Dave!
