- Last week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown only did a 2.2 broadcast rating over on the CW Network which is one of the lowest numbers of the year. There isn’t a whole lot of concern in WWE around the rating as it is understood that last weekend was the final weekend before school started in many areas in the United States. WWE officials are not going to panic unless this week’s show comes in equally as bad.

-- As of last week, plans were in place for both Randy Orton and Batista to win their respective titles at SummerSlam. The final decision to let John Cena keep his belt was made on Friday. Michael Hayes is the person in charge of suggesting finishes for matches, but Vince didn't like any of the ideas he came up with. Vince thought that a win over Orton would have been the big perfect big win for Cena, so Cena got the nod in the match. Orton will get another title shot at Unforgiven, and there's a very good chance that he'll be getting the title this time around.

-- WWE is thinking about adding some original content to WWE 24/7. Several ideas have been discussed -- everything from "complete sleaze," to reality shows featuring wrestling legends.

I will be laughing my rear end off as soon as this "newz site" is proven wrong yet again.

^ yea, Vince is so fucking high on Cena that he'll never lose the belt...

I just hope he loses it at Unforgiven and his stupid title reign can become a thing of the past

I think the main reason it didn't happen was because everyone was so sure that it would happen at SummerSlam that they decided to go the other way

haha, we're all to blame for that. That's the downfall of internet wrestling forums.

Here's an idea: we should all be sure that Cena is going to WIN at Unforgiven, than he'll lose his title for SURE!!! haha

lol. I like the way you guys think. That is how WWE does it. They give you the good. Then they play it out so you are for sure something is going to happen. But it doesnt, then you are watching to see why it didnt happen. And when it will happen. For SummerSlam sites were freezing up from all the traffic. People were watching to see Cena lose. On Monday night it was almost the same. Sites freezing from the traffic to see whats happening. And WWE played us all. Now we will all watch this month to one see who vinces kid is. And see how its going to play out at unforgiven. Damn WWE and their MONEY MONEY, YEAH YEAH.

^ LOL TOK. Anyways yeah everyone was so sure Orton would win its very possible they swerved just to screw with us. Unless they pass Orton right on by and let Triple H win the title from Cena. I would rather see Orton vs Triple H for the title though. There doesnt seem to be any huury to push Triple H towards the title though. So maybe Orton WILL win at Unforgiven only to lose it to HHH at the next PPV.

The crowd varies from town to town. The majority of the watchers love Cena, which is why he retains. He will finally lose as yes, more and more fans are turning over to Orton and other title competitors.
