If Hogan/Martel didn't draw, the blame would be on Hogan but should also be on Martel. One can't work very well without the other. I agree faces are somewhat more important, mainly because the face of the company needs to be someone who people love and get behind, but heels still play a very important and almost equal part because a protagonist doesn't work as well without an antagonist there to oppose and go against them. Hogan/Andre drew huge whereas Hogan/Martel wouldn't have because Andre posed a much bigger threat towards Hogan (and pretty much anyone else he wrestled.)

This... This thread should be deleted. Some of the crap you guys post is an embarassment to this great website.

On Triple H: It's not 1980 anymore, you can't rely on just one babyface for so many years. The entire WWE revolved around him for so long that the fans were just sick and tired of him. Most of the superstars from his heyday have been future endeavored at this point, some due to age, some due to stupid shit like London and Kendrick losing handicap matches against him and having so little credibility that there was no reason to keep them around. Not to mention his ego... oh boy. Every feud he's been in was about him, he acts like a complete narcissistic prick on camera, gets loads of mic time even though he sucks, and he's one of the biggest politicians on the planet. (He's God, pretty much) He accomplished pretty much everything there is to do in the WWE... and despite that, nobody considers him one of the top 5 in WWE history. He was a talented wrestler and a big draw, but not to a "13-time world champion" level.

On Miz and SS: We know what the fans think, because we are fans ourselves. Cena dominated a handicap match against Miz and Truth a few weeks before, so why would he need the Rock's help? We are supposed to buy pay-per-views to cheer our beloved babyfaces on as they try to defeat a menacing heel that either has their number or has enough heat that you hope he receives his comeuppance (well, that's how it should be, WWE usually books things backwards), so why would you purchase Survivor Series when those beloved babyfaces are obviously going to win? Not to mention there seemed to be no reasoning behind the match happening in the first place, the babyfaces were paired up by a paper-thin bullshit premise, and the most interesting part of the match going in was that Rock and Cena may combust mid-match.

Plus, look at the rest of the card. We had a random 5-on-5 for no reason than just to do one, a US Title match that seemed to revolve around someone not in the match, Divas crap, Punk defending against ADR who still wasn't over, and Big Show vs Mark Henry. Who would pay 44.95 for this?

Yeah, all this is Miz's fault. #wwelogic
