The last time they introduced a new Worlds Championship, the inagural champion was Finn Balor immediately after his callup. He got injured and they gave it to Kevin Owens (an unproven act in the Main Eventer at the time), who held it for 6 months. Neither reign did much to elevate the new championship.

Due to this I would be very hesitant to put it on an unestablished Main Event level performer. This limits us to minimal options.

If I were WWE I'd put it on Seth Rollins, a bonafide main event level guy that's incredibly over, if for no other reason than to build up the credibility of the championship. But Bob Lashley would also be a good choice, with Drew McIntyre also a good candidate.

What WWE needs to do in order to elevate the WWE World Heavyweight Championship or make it just as important as the WWE Universal Championship:

- (1)- You do not ignore the lineage of the World Heavyweight Championship but you also mention former greats who have held the World Heavyweight Championship

- (2)- Do not put the title on Cody Rhodes...why? Because if there was ever a time to put the title on him, it would have been at WrestleMania 39 in the main event and if you have him win the Big Gold Belt, yeah he gets his moment but is his story really done? His story has always been Roman and also if you give him a secondary title, it actually kills Cody's momentum because if you want to build him up as the next big face of the company whereas if he dethrones Roman, boom a star is made

- (3)- Actually give the championship to someone who will actually defend it regularly and not a part timer because if you do that, it devalues the championship

- (4)- Do not give the title to Roman or to anyone in The Bloodline or to even Brock either but someone who will actually benefit from it

- (5)- Do not under any circumstances treat this championship as a secondary title but you treat it as a championship that is just as important or on equal footing with Reigns' title in terms of overall importance

I wouldn't mind it eventually but with him out sick for the past couple months all that matters is he gets healthy.

And Rollins is more of an every week guy. Bray is like a once or twice a month guy. the new WHC needs an every week Champion.
