When you have a Steel Cage?~!

What the fuck is up with WWE, and their fixation with using the Steel Cage as the lazy match on Raw. It happens every time someone wins the title. Cena won the title off Edge. They faced in a Cage. Orton got the belt. He lost to Triple H. They faced in a Cage. Punk became WHC on Raw. He lost to Jericho. They faced in a Cage. Jericho loses to Batista. Now they will face off in a Cage. No repitition there. >_>

So has anyone else realised this? And is it fucking annoying to you?

You're forgetting the night after WrestleMania X7. Austin won the title and faced the Rock in a cage the next night.

These days, cage matches have become as common as ligerine pillow fights. They fall back on cage matches to save the Elimination Chambers, HIACs, etc for PPVs.

I'm getting sick of it. Steel Cage matches are much better used as the big finale for a feud, like they were back in the day. I would quite honestly prefer they mix it up a bit, Street Fights, Falls Count Anywhere, No Holds Barred, etc. than have them whore out Cage matches every second week.

There was a First Blood match at ONS.

And I find a table match to be a terrible concept.

Also, I know its women but when was the last Bra+Panties match? (its about the onloy female gimmick match and its hasnt been used for ages)

Even generic extreme rules matches can be whored out with different names, and they allow for less repetitve action

They used it as a HUGE attraction for a special Raw at some point, and it went down well, so they kept on using it, and using it, and using and now they are fucked with the repitition.

Tables matches just seem so pointless. You put your opponent through a table. So what?

I would think that the Cage match should be like HIAC and whatnot. I'm not sure why they think less of it as I think Cage matches can be cooler than HIAC. I definitely don't know why every rematch clause has a Cage stip. >_>

Annoying it is. Cages were used to end big feuds. Having it every title reign sucks. Falls Count Anywhere, Street Fights, Ladder Match, Table Match, are the four that should be used. Not Steel Cages, no creativity.

Here's a crazy thought. Why not just have two guys, oh I don't know, wrestle in a straight up one on one match with no stipulation? Doing hardcore stipulation matches too frequently not only desensitizes fans to violence but also makes them care even less when what used to be a big deal is announced. Back in the 80s and early 90s when they announced a cage match it was like "oh shit a cage match, someone's gonna die" Now it's like "oh a cage match again, who gives a shit". But that's the sad fact of wrestling nowadays.

Yeah, but it's not back in the day. I dont have a problem with them at all

here's why we don't get 1st blood, TLC's or hardcore matches now KIDS. Simple as that, with the kid friendly thing going on we wont see those type of matches. Yeah it's annoying but it's a thing that we have to deal with changes of the times so to speak. I like cage matches(prefer HIAC) but yeah i agree there are to many scatted around title scene. But until things change IF they change. And WWE go a bit more adult theamed, Then thats what we are pretty much left with the not so violent matches so to speak such as cages, HIAC, table matches. Dont get me wrong id love to see sum blood and hardcore action every once in awhile it would be great. I just dont see it happing any time soon.
