Honestly, I am really only motivated to watch ECW, I am not motivated to watch 2 hours to watch segments and commercials. It is the whole of ECW that motivates me to watch it, no 1 person.

3 reasons why I watch WWE:

1. John Cena
2. Randy Orton
3. Spoilers for SD to see if its worth it

For me it's a tradition...my great-grandpa got my family into it and I couldnt imagine not having wrestling in my life. There were times I didn't follow as religiously as I do now and it felt as if something was missing. The likes of Orton, Punk and MVP keep me interested, its just to bad that I don't have my network tv at my house so I don't get to watch Punk anymore :( :(.

Segments make wrestling. If your in it just for the actual matches, it seems kinda pointless, considering they're not even real. If you're in it for the matches, you should watch real amateur wrestling (boring). Segments and characters make wrestling.

^^Amateur wrestling is not boring if you actually understand whats going on.^^

Back on topic. I don't mind all the segments as long as they don't go longer then 10-15 mins. I remember back during the monday night wars some of the promo's on Nitro would go on for almost a half hour. That was boring as hell. The way the WWE's lengthy promos are they are not to long, but at times the HHH/Orton promos push it. But they still keep me enertained.

In my humble opinion, Cena and Orton are the only guys worth watching at this point. Face HHH is starting to get on my nerves. I've never been a fan of Taker or HBK. Edge is getting as stale as Face HHH. CM Punk has regressed significantly over the last two/three years. None of the new guys are overly impressive. I like Morrison, but he alone is not enough to get me to watch SD or ECW on a regular basis.

If that's truly your opinion, then that's cool, but I just have to ask... Did you have a bad day, that's making you think the product is worse than it really is, or do you truly feel like that?
I agree with some of your stuff. Face HHH is boring, Morrison isn't carrying a show, etc. But to say Punk has regressed, when he just had his break through a year ago, and is now in line for a push, and saying Edge is stale, just doesn't make sense to me. Again, I'm not gonna argue if it's your opinion, but I just wanted to know if it is, or if you were over-exagerating, lol...

Edge has had the same character for almost 4 years. It just doesn't hold the same value it did 3 years ago when Edge was one of the single greatest heels of all time.

Regarding Punk, when was the last time he put on a great match? Probably against Morrison 3 years ago. Sure, he had his breakthrough a year ago, but I was really expecting more out of him. It may not entirely be his fault. Its obvious the WWE has watered him down significantly both in the ring and from a character standpoint.

I'm not completely writing either of those guys off. I actually like the talent they both have. But at this point, neither of them really excite me or want me to tune in and watch them.

About Edge, I think his character has developed nicely. Think about it.
4 years ago, at the start of 2005, he was a biter, angry guy wanting to gget his shot in the main event. Then, throughout mid and late 2005, he had the gimmick of being sort of 'taboo' and wild. Cheating on someone's wife, cheating to win, and displaying all kinds of public acts of sexuality with Lita (exclusing the live sex, which was 2006). Then, in 2006, he became the Rated R and violent Edge, not to mention, a legit main eventer. He won the title, and then went to his viscious side, having a great Hardcore match with Foley, and then a series of matches with ECW guys, followed by the TLC and other matches with Cena.
2007 saw the 'ultimate oppurtunist' Edge, with him 'stealing' Kennedys MITB, and cashing it in on Taker, and later, when he returned from injury, sabotaging Taker's HIAC match.
2008 saw Edge be the suck up, and cheating Edge, using Vickie to get his way. And now, Edge has been slowly trending back towards the unstable, violent Edge.
I see alot of character development there.

As for Punk, I just think we'll have to see where it goes. The draft trades officially start being used next week, so we'll have to see how they use him.

I personally and honestly think the WWE has just booked everyone like shit lately and for a long, long time. MVP, John Morrison, and CM Punk (can throw Christian in there too) are the main guys that would keep me watching later. They are by far the most interesting characters and best overall guys coming up, with the most potential. MVP gets shit for mic time or any segments when he's probably one of the best naturally on the mic, easily. John Morrison is even shittier than MVP in that regard, but he just broke off from the Miz, so it should be interesting what happens now (although knowing the WWE, I doubt much). CM Punk blows, he's as stale as Batista and his character is pretty much non existant. He has no development at all, he doesn't even ever talk on the mic. All we know is that he's straight edge and likes Pepsi, woo. He had the worst title reign since Rey Mysterio. I've honestly never seen a new guy get as badly screwed and watered down as him, in a long, long time. His only hope is to turn heel and do something exciting..

Other than the man himself, who I eluded to earlier.. obviously Chris Jericho keeps me watching. He's the best thing in the world of wrestling right now, and simply the best. He's fucking amazing, EVERY time, the guy is a God. And Edge is right up there with Chris Jericho, looking forward to the face turn. Both of them are absolutely hilarious, I'm always loling with they're on the mic in any form or w/e. Christian, I'm anxious as fuck to expect what he's going to do in the future and whether or not the WWE will do anything with him. HBK, of course, and the Undertaker. Both legends, both old guys, and will always watch for them, love em. Kane, sorta, although he's pretty jewed now. Uh... Orton needs to combine both his gimmicks and I think he'll definitely be much more interesting then. Santino is hella funny, dunno if I watch for him though.

Oh yeah, Jeff Hardy is pretty cool to watch. But all in all, it's going to really be all about MVP/Morrison, imo, they got the best characters coming up. Triple H, Jericho, Edge are the shit and stuff, but I really just want WWE to fucking do something, more segments, more involvement with those two as well as Christian, honestly. Their characters have been there forever, and just hadn't have the proper time to shine, as Orton's new one did coming in and you can see how well that took off, which was sweet, but dying down now. =(

For me, there's usually a few guys that get me to tune into Raw/SD/ECW every week, and often once their segments are over, I'll watch something else. Who keeps you watching?

I never turn over when watching wwe for one.
People who keep me entertained are....
Morrison - I like his skills and want him in more 10-15 min matches on s.down

Orton - My favourite wrestler, plays his character well and is a good wrestler Often underrated.

Edge - Same as orton really, but i get into his promos and think he is a good entertainer

Punk - Followed him for about 9 years now and its great to see the young Chicago lad getting a push and is an awesome wrestler. This muay Thai gimmick just don't do it for me though.

Jericho - best heel in the last year, good wrestler Ive been a jerichoholic since his days with Ralphus. He is a good wrestler and draws me in with his good heels promos.
