So every year the WWE decides to let some of their contracted performers...
go and wishes them the best of luck on their future endeavors.
In 2016...Wade Barrett, Damien Sandow, Cameron and Adam Rose were all let go...
Alberto Del Rio walked, Cody Rhodes asked to leave and Ryback simply didn't sign
a new contract.
No doubt in 2017 wrestling fans will see a similar list start to form and this
thread is for us to post our somewhat sad predictions on who the WWE will be let
go during the next 12 months.
Now...I'm going to get the ball rolling with...
Paige:
So 2016 was a really sad year for Paige career wise...and while she now may-be
happy in her personal life...I doubt we will ever see her in a WWE ring again.
The relationship with Aberto Del Rio, the company dividing them with the brand
split, two wellness policy violations, a neck injury followed by neck surgery
outside of the WWE system and it just seems like every week there is new story
about the craziness of her current life and relationship with Del Rio.
A recent news report released states that Paige will not be cleared to actually
wrestle until summer...but will she still even be with the company by that time?
Now I just want to state that I think Paige is a fantastic performer with a unique
look, amazing personality, solid (but basic) in-ring skills and her early work in
NXT has clearly been forgotten by many of those who champion the 4 Horsewomen.
But...I think it all comes down to Paige reaching the highest level of success
(on the main roster) too quickly. I mean...she won the Divas title in her first
main roster match. Was it a fun and shocking moment? Yes...but was it the best
for her career in the long term? No...it wasn't...because after that...everything
else is going to feel like a step backwards for her.
I'm just saying Paige was pushed too much, too soon and now she is missing out on
opportunities she helped lay the ground work for.
It's sad...and while I hope she remains happy and healthy...I doubt she'll see out
2017 with the WWE.
May-be she'll end up in TNA with Del Rio...hmmm...Rosemary vs. Paige...I'd pay to
see that.
So...I ask you my fellow forum members...who do you believe on the current WWE
roster won't see out the year?
