That would be terrible for 100 different reasons.

Why would it be terrible? They have the biggest star power. Brock and Rock for WWE Championship would break WM 28's record.

What good does it do long term ? Beyond saying our roster is terrible so we need to bring the old guys back. This mentality was responsible for killing future talent to an extent.

The match would suck. Rock has no gas tank and is blown before the bell rings just from his entrance. He wouldn't be willing to work a match like the one Cena did, and it would just wind up as a slow paced borefest with long spells of nothingness in between Rock doing his signatures (just like the boring ass Wm match with Cena).

It does nothing long term, and keeps both guys from working with someone that I would rather see them work with.

I don't wan to see it. At all.

Some of what you said is true. But WWE only cares about how much money they make, so Brock/Rock is pretty much guaranteed. Putting their 2 top guys against each other for the WWE championship is basically a goldmine. But as far as Rock doing boring matches goes. He might surprise you and do a match as good as Austin vs rock WM 17.

He'd need to drop a lot of muscle IMO, which I doubt he would or could with how many movie deals he has. Dwayne at 40 can't carry the extra weight.

WWE cares about money, sure, but at some point you have to start building stars for the future. Rock isn't going to stick around forever, and I would venture to say not much longer. Brock you only have for a year. HHH refuses to put anyone over. Taker is on his last legs. These guys need to be used to help insure the future. Pass the torch.

There is no quicker and easier way to make a new star than to have a young guy in a Mania match with stars of that magnitude from the previous era.

Yet people cringed when suggested Miz interrupt Rock vs Cena? Hypocrisy. I agree though, these old global stars need to put people over and fast. It won't work if they're basically Hogan's age putting someone over, it needs to be in their "prime".

The sad part is I've hard rumours that Taker has wanted to put over a new guy at mania for years but isn't allowed too by Vince since Taker doesn't want to put Cena over since he says Cena doesn't need it.

I was thinking the legends should put them over in 1 or 2 more years. Because by then most of the WWE fans will start caring about them and not care as much for the older stars as much. We all know that the new generation of wrestlers is here but people aren't ready to let go of guys like the rock/austin/triple h being under the sun. Because they miss the glory days of WWF/WWE.

But before Rock starts putting over any talent he should do everything he feels he needs to do. Beat Cena at WM. Check. Now to win the WWE championship. After Rock has done it all he will give a lucky wrestler the biggest push of their life and make them really step up their game.
