Vader was booked to win the WWF title but HBK didn't want to work with him anymore iirc.

And Ivan Koloff held the belt for such a short period of time because he was supposed to be a transitional champ from the start, since Sammartino was done with his reign.

He was never sopost to be Champion HBK was not the reson. That Push Sid and after that they wanted to Undertaker. then it was Bhet then back to HBK and by that time that wanted to push Stone Cold! And from there it was over for Vader in WWE!
