Which unspoiled Wrestling Moment had you most surprised or blown away?

Lackin

I'm a F'kn Mark - It's my real name.
I was looking back before at old survivor series cards compared to this years and got reminded of Stings debut.

When he arrived I had read nothing on the dirt sheets, hadn't seen anything on Twitter or Facebook of his debut. There was news out there I just totally missed it. So it was a real shock and surprise. I'd say a similar situation with Edge returning in the 2020 Rumble but there was rumours online and news reports for a few months prior to the event so I anticipated it. Still shocked however.

So has there been any huge moments for you that you were legit shocked and didn't see coming or happening?

Even though this one was rumored, nothing was confirmed. And that’s AJ Styles’ Royal Rumble debut. One of my favorite moments from the past 10 years.

Kofi winning the title from Bryan at WrestleMania legitimately made me cry.

The Streak ending obviously. I think we all got pre condition to the thought that it would never end. So you can make the argument it’s the most shocking moment in WWE history.

When Sean Waltman beat Razor Ramon on RAW. This was just before he became the 123 Kid, and he was going through a slew of name changes. I think this match he was just called "The Kid".

It was going as a basic squash match, and then suddenly Kid hits a moonsault. The crowd reaction was amazing.

Even the other wrestlers in the back were genuinely shocked. Some even asked Hall if he was being punished.

Some of these ones mentioned shocked me, but not because they wasn’t rumored, but because I didn’t think they would happen. AJ Styles debut, Edge return, Sting’s debut, etc.

But one that actually shocked me because it wasn’t reported anywhere (at least that I saw lol) was when Jericho returned at the Royal Rumble at #2(the one Ziggler was #1). Legit didn’t even hear a thing about it. Shocked me.

Even if this is in the WWE section, I’m going to mention a non WWE one. The AEW Debut of Malakai Black. Pretty much everyone figured he was going there, but what none of us knew was that they(WWE) messed up his contract and didn’t change him from 30 to 90 days non compete. So, when he debuted just after 30 days, and under 90, I feel everyone was fucking shocked.

Yeah I distinctly remember losing my shit at this return. It made me so hype for the rest of the Rumble, and around that time period I couldn't think of a better way to start the match than doing Ziggler & Jericho. Both red hot. Crowd pop for him was nuts.

And if I remember correctly, Jericho was gone at that point because of Ziggler also. So that made it even better starting with them. But yeah I surely popped watching it, totally took me off guard.

Hardy's returning at WrestleMania was a pretty big 'Holy shit' moment for me. I was honestly just expecting New Day to be added to it at first, and then that theme hit. My god. I literally jumped out of my seat. Amazing moment. I still get chills from that crowd response for them.

All of you guys have great responses and make valid points all around.

For me, it was the streak ending at 'Mania 30.

My WWE network at the time spazzed out during their match. Restarted my Xbox and found the crowd dead silent, and on the jumbotron it read 21-1, Undertaker's streak was over. That was a shocker. That's my pick.

Well since I was a wee child when it happened and the net wasn't a thing. Warrior winning the title from Hogan as I love Warrior as a kid.

Then it was the Taker's actual debut which I still remember to this day.

I think the wrestling moment that I had no idea about that made me mark out the most was when Jericho "won" the title off of HHH at the Raw, I believe in State College, PA. Only to have my heart torn out moments later when they played it off as a fast ref count.

Oh, also, Eddie's title win at Mania.

John Cena returns at 2008 Royal Rumble - This was a really cool surprise at the time as he wasn't expected to return for another few months.

Undertaker loses to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 30 - As others have said or alluded to, felt like the streak had become an attraction that was never really going to be beaten. I was genuinely 'Pikachu shocked face' when it happened.

The Nexus debut - I'm not sure if this counts in terms of being unspoiled as it wasn't a debuting or returning wrestler, or a shock result, but especially as a non-watcher of NXT the Nexus debut and subsequent beatdown of Cena (as well as CM Punk/SES, and the ringside folks such as Lawler, Striker and Justin Roberts) was something I hadn't really ever seen before. It was just a proper wtf moment. I knew what NXT was as it occasionally bled in to Raw and SD, but debuting as a unit was so well done. Just a shame they completely borked it with Team Cena winning at Summerslam, and Barrett losing the title match and getting completely buried (literally) by Cena at TLC.
