Which moves and finishing moves are banned in the WWE?

i would say the 450.
also the classical piledriver is banned and only allowed for Undertaker to use it as the tombstone pile driver.

and why they have to banned those moves?

The 450 is banned because someone or other nearly crushed Chavo's face with his knee when he missed.

Shooting Star Press is banned as well, why I dunno. Maybe 'cause Kidman, always botched it.

The Piledriver is banned because of Owen/Austin.

All the rest of the moves that are banned its pretty clear why they are, you know, the slightest mistake could paralyze/kill someone. But that's not to say that they won't be occasionally busted out.

the Shooting Star Press is also banned due to a series of injuries(for example Brock Lesnar at WM 19 and Chavo after Kidman SSP), this is the same reason of the 450 splash( London injury against Juventud) and i think the piledriver was banned for the same reason(Stone Cold injury) but i'm not sure on this one, also Tommy Dreamer has used the piledriver recently a couple of times

The moves that are banend are:

Shooting Star Press
450 Splash
Piledrivers (except for the Undertaker)
Those aren't the ONLY moves banned. There's very many moves banned now, more than any of you can list at the top of your head. Not just moves, but specific types of bumps and sells. Also, they are banned to the majority of the company, not all. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and The Undertaker could probably do anything they want in the ring (assuming who they are wrestling).

.

No, Shawn Michaels just used it vs. Cena and probably could use it with someone else he picked, same with Triple H or Undertaker.

They are all banned like Monkey said basically because they've had some injuries with them (even though pretty much every move in wrestling is dangerous and could cause the same injuries, but I guess WWE doesn't realize this...). Basically, the WWE has been extremely watered down since 10 years ago and are really not allowed to perform a lot of moves and bumps in general. I guess it helps somewhat in preventing injuries... even though 2006-2007 has been one of the most injury prone years of all time...

Juventud is the one who got the 450 banned. Lol the Luchamaniac he is.

Dreamer has done the Piledriver once or twice. - But Id take it that it is still banned for everyone else's use.

i remember a finisher by goldberg on a wcw ppv where he applied a chokehold on sid vicious who literally passed out and goldberg was booed out of the arena. He never used that finisher again. There was also a move called the code red applied by sergent craig pittman which was a variation of an arm bar where he pulled the arm out of its socket which was also banned.

if they ban moves because they are botched, then i guess the batista bomb(powerbomb) will be banned soon. he almost injured booker T and kennedy when he botched it

It was actually Kidman, crushing chavo's face with the Shooting Star, but here it is.....

NO MOVE IS ACTUALLY BANNED IN THE WWE!!!

Anyone who works for WWE will tell you that from management to the curtain jerkers.....the moves however are discouraged and beleived to be big impact moves that should only be used for big impact matches.

the shooting star as mentioned was discouraged from use shortly after the Chavo incident....keep in mind London finished off Kidman with a Shooting star to end there fued.

the verterbreaker has never even had an issued warning on it. When WCW was bought, Helms was discouraged from using it as it is a dangerous move, but he was never told he couldn't use it and did use it once in a Sunday Night Heat match. He never got in trouble for using it and has never used it since because he understands the importance of protecting the talent. Helms will tell you that himself.

the Piledriver is still used more often then people seem to realize. However the ones that are using it are experinced, hense no reason to ban the move when others agree to limit the use of the move. this also goes for the standard powerbomb move.

Edge's impaler was never even discouraged. He just started using the spear more.

Bottom line is, I hate hearing these people talk about WWE bans moves and shit. cause its just not fact. the facts are they discourage it for safety and to help create a bigger impact in big impact matchs. Because if a wrestler pulls out a piledriver out of the blue that he doesn't normally use, then you know its something special that the guy is stooping to that level to gain victory. And I agree with it. if every move was common every match ever show, you'd be pretty bored. this adds flavour.
