Depends on who is speaking. I enjoy anything Jericho says.
But arrogant and obnoxious.

I think the most successful style would have to be fast paced. If a wrestler can pull that type of style off they're bound to be successful in my opinion. Taking that type of style requires a bit of improve from the wrestlers which is something I appreciate. I think the Rock had that and although Stone Cold wasn't as fast paced as Rock, he was quick on his feet when it came to the mic. I find that the more slow paced talkers are often boring. People like Triple H, who unless they're yelling can be quite a drag to listen to. Back when he was with evolution i used to hate those long dragged out speeches, i often changed the channel whenever he went on because it was just so boring. However that gets redeemed when he gets all aggressive and emotional and stuff like that, he also has a bit of a comical side at times as well, but that style is boring and least effective in my opinion.

I really feel like Cody and Dean both have the same style, they both speak slowly but with massive confidence.

Can you name some wrestlers who you think would benefit from another mic style (either as a face or heel)?

Jack Swagger as a heel was in my opinion much better when he was the young, cocky character from his ECW and early Smackdown run. His later heel work was not as good.

Rollins is also a guy who I think as a heel needs a different mic style. His voice I think suites a more smarmy style better I think. I myself heard hints of it in the latest promo from Smackdown where he named people ("Isn't that right Randy?") As a heel I don't think Rollins should be the big, vicious heel but more smarmy and conniving.

Any others?

Anything to make Rollins less awkward would be better.

Indeed. He is so awkward as a heel (even I as a Rollins mark can say that), at least as a serious one. He can play the physical part of a vicious heel well enough I think but then he either needs a mouth piece or another mic style. His overall look and moveset is very babyface though.

To be honest, as much as I love him, his promos as a face aren't much better at all. His segments on NXT are proof of that. In fact I would go as far as saying I prefer his heel ones from what I have seen so far.

At least he is better than Reigns. And thankfully there are multiple examples of people getting better on the mic over time and simply talking, Batista, Dolph, Kofi etc etc. Hopefully being kept up on the main roster will allow Rollins to study and learn from others.

Which brings another question, as a face, what kind of mic style do you think would fit Rollins? Quite interested to hear your opinion.

Rollins doesn't impress me very much on the mic.

I'm a fan of his mosher gimmick, so I would like an anti-hero type style since the stereotype for moshers is rebelliousness against society. I'm not sure if he's capable of pulling it off however, but yeah. If not, then a style similar to Punk where he is slow and methodical but then intense when needed to be. Their actual voices I think are quite similar to be honest.

True, his voice moves in the same or a close pitch to Punk's. A more slow and methodical style could suit him well, both as a face and heel and likely something he could grow into as he gets more comfortable with his character. I don't think Rollins did a lot of talking on the indies since he was for a lot of his career he was teaming with Jimmy Jacobs who did most of the talking. He will get better with time I believe. Practice makes perfect as the saying goes.

I'm still a noob, so I haven't really seen as much as I should.

However, I think it was either Jose, Deth or Punk who linked me to an old Ambrose promo and it literally gave me shivers and made me feel bad for his character. He was comparing himself to Colt Cabana and how everyone loves Colt and he kept saying he was such a fuck up, looking all crazy and depressed and I was just like . You don't see that type of gimmick anymore. All the gimmicks pretty much have an arrogant-esque air about them and that promo was really different from what I was use to seeing.

Punk and Ambrose definitely have my vote.

Always loved Flair's agression on the mic..

HBK was overall very good. Didn't matter if he was mad, happy, sad or whatevs, he always got my interest.

HHH's agresstive tone got me hooked.. Him shouting and being :bury:.. Man, loved that.

And then there's Hogan. Brother, man, guy, you took this on a whole nother level, dude, brother. :haha:

Imo, Ultimate Warrior is a little bit overrated.. Never kept my attention on his promos..

But then, one of my fav's.. MACHO MAN OOOOH YEAH
