i saw an mma match involving brock lesnar recently and found it boring compared when brock was wrestling.the fact it's choregraphed makes it entertaining with usually a 20 min main event on ppv. It's value for money compared to wasting 40 bucks on a 1 min mma main event like was said earlier.

i cant watch a whole MMA event, to me its boring and i only watch when people i like fight. ROH is the real deal and long matches dont bore, long matches bore me when wwe does them becuase they arent wrestlers their entertainers. so if the questions refers to MMA or WWE i go with MMA but if its MMA or real ProWrestling like ROH, then i choose ROh hands down.

If you keep watching it though you will get to know more fighters better and watch it more becuase you are more attached to them.
- If you are saying that ROH is real wrestling than you are wrong, that is an insult to the great athletes that compete in amature wrestling. They are the REAL wrestlers.
-I guess I like MMA alot better now is becuase it is legit. There is not as much politics as in pro-wrestling. The best fighter wins.
- MMA is growing so much, and it is showing in the PPV buys. Vince would love to have as many PPV buys as the UFC gets. I think MMA will lead to a slight decline in WWE PPV buys.

MMA's exciting when you have guys like Liddell or Jackson fighting. Liddell can pretty much kick the s**t out of anyone, and Jackson fights like a "pro wrestler". Powerbombs, Slams, Suplexes. You get the idea...

I like wrestling more, in MMA matches you just get two guys laying on top of each other for a few rounds then a random punch that knocks a guy out. In wrestling at least your (usually)entertained for the entire match....

For people who say that MMA is just people hugging each other for three minuts show they are not very educated about the sport. You probably get angry when people say that wrestling is gay becuase it is a bunch of oiled guys in tights grabbing and touching each other for a living. In MMA you are at least trying to get out of the hold or only hold not to get hit. Pro Wrestlers willingly do hold onto each other. I am not trying to bash wrestling, but am just youing your argument against you.

Also I think you are just jeolous that no one uses Tae Kwan Doe in MMA. It just is not as good and effective in fights as other disiplines such as muay thai, BJJ, Wrestling, and Judo.

It depends on who's fighting if Tito Ortiz is fighting then im not gonna watch some dumbass promo on raw. If smackdown is on i would probably choose smackdown because it's more wrestling and not a soap opera like raw.

Pro Wrestling > MMA.

I hate MMA. They say MMA takes more skill, yet how does that ring true when you compare a signature UFC move such as a simple arm-bar, to a wrestling submission such as the Figure 4 or Sharpshooter? There is no comparison. Yes, an arm bar hurts. But in pro wrestling, an arm-bar is considered a pretty weak submission. Doesn't that make wrestling superior? To me it does.

And as was previously mentioned, if MMA was so "real", it wouldn't take place in a ring with referees and mouth gaurds. It's an established event, therefore there is politics involved backstage like with any sport. Fact is, since it's not pre-determined, you never know what's going to happen. They can hype MMA fights full-tilt, but there is no scripting and the fighters may not have any chemistry in the ring. It could end up being the shortest or most boring fight ever. At least with wrestling, it's scripted and focused towards entertainment, so you know you're getting your moneys worth.

Are MMA fighters tougher than wrestlers? Absolutely not. Anybody who says a UFC fighter can "fuck up" a wrestler, is dead wrong. People under estimate wrestlers because the punches are fake. Punches, kicks and chair shots are about the only thing thats fake. Think about it, when you recieve a clothesline, they might not even connect, however one things for sure: You have to sell the move, therefore you fall straight back on your back, causing your head to bounce off the mat. Think that doesn't hurt? Actually, it probably hurts a heck of a lot more than the actual clothesline would. Suplexes also take their toll on the back and neck. Over a long period of time, this will really cause neck problems. So yes, these moves are fake, but people don't realize in order to SELL these moves, you're going to take a bump. It's a double standard. You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.

Exactly. Booooring.

At least wrestlers sell the move and take a bump for the purpose of entertainment, regardless of what's real.

You are a dumbest person alive. It takes more skill to put on an arm-bar in MMA, becuase someone is not actually letting you do it. If you did not some one to put you into a figure 4 it would be easy as hell to stop or get out of. You are obviously so biased in your thoughts.

There is some politics involved, such as some fighters ducking others. But it is much harder to hold someone down who dominates his opponents. Your argument about the ring and mouth guards is bullshit. Where else are you going to hold an event, you can't have them fighting somewhere in the street. To make money you put it in an arena with a ring so everyone can see the fight. A fight may end quickly, but that is part of the excitement, not knowing what is going to happen.

They may not be tougher, but they are better at fighting than pro-wrestlers. Most wrestlers that have fought MMA have gotten their ass kicked. I will give you many examples. In Japan they used to like to have popular pro-wrestlers fight MMA every once in a while to give the card "Starpower". In Japan Yugi Nagata, NJPW's world champion than and now, fought twice and got beaten and knocked out in the first round easily (http://youtube.com/watch?v=pp4o1vzQvik), Yoshihiro Takayama, although very very tough, lost all of his fights (http://youtube.com/watch?v=rY0YdAJ1vHI , Don Frye vs Yoshihiro Takayama (Edited) ) Jushin Thunder Liger, Lost his only fight to minoru suzuki very quickly by submission. Bam Bam Bigelow, lost his fight to KIMO, who now is always losing in MMA. Sean O'Hair has lost almost all of his fights. Here is a list of other wrestlers who fought in MMA mmafighting.com/faq/prowrestling.html .
The only wrestler that has done extremly well in MMA is Kazushi Sakuraba, only after becoming a MMA fighter full time. Brock Lesner won his first fight, but he took a year off to train and is a natural athlete. I think some wrestlers could do good in MMA, but would have to take off to train. The training regimen is very different between MMA and Pro Wrestling.
