But it is pissing on his retirement. That entire celebration and tribute to his career will be for nothing if he gets back in the ring.

Like WWE didn't piss on any retirements before. Ric Flair says Hi.

That was Ric Flair pissing on it. Not the WWE. Ric has never wrestled in a WWE ring since his retirement.

Just saw this somewhere else. No way in hell this will happen but worth sharing:

-For the next 2 weeks, the McMahons and Hunter's kids try to convince Hunter to retire while Heyman and Axel boast/gloat/goat Hunter into a rematch at Payback. Hunter accepts on the go-home show, they brawl, the match is on.
-At Payback, Axel wins after a hooded figure attacks Hunter in the back of the head with a pipe. Axel pins Hunter and the man takes his hood off, to the amazement of the Chicago crowd it's CM Punk. Hunter takes a month off, and Punk starts feuding with Hunter's buddy Sheamus. Punk goes over at MITB.
-Punk vs Heyman is made for Summerslam, and with Hunter so irritated over all the agony Heyman has caused he wants him gone. Heyman agrees, but only if Hunter puts his COO position on the line. Punk avenges his loss from 2011 and goes over by using the pipe again, causing another concussion.
-HHH actually takes time off this time, but he comes back later to put an end to Heyman's reign of terror. Hunter puts his in-ring career on the line against Heyman's COO position in a Survivor Series Tag, with Hunter and Heyman not participating. Here's when the good guys finally go over but Axel and Punk actually get something out of it.

Terrible idea. Punk needs to be used in his own storyline not in some weak feud between Triple H and Heyman, who he should separate from.

It could be a great segment if played right.

If his children appear on the show, it could just be in appearance as a way of Stephanie pointing towards them as to say "You have them, me, all of us, and this whole empire will be the both of ours one day, you don't need this anymore." (THIS obviously refers to performing in the ring.) Have Vince say to him that getting in the ring and risking further injury is exactly what Heyman wants, because he knows it will help break the McMahon family mentally and cause their children great distress and that's exactly what Heyman wants. Imagine HHH is convinced by this speech but then Heyman shows his face and starts to refer to his children and even taunt them in a way that offends Triple H to the bone (I'm reminded of Bischoff taunting referee Randy Robinson's children that time on Nitro) and this provokes him to step back in the ring after all. We already know a huge part of HHH's hate for Heyman stems from the comments he's made about his family in general. Heyman having direct contact with his children and saying awful things about HHH and Steph to them (or about them directly) would surely make HHH's hatred of Heyman reach a boiling point.

Nothing about that sounds great.

You somehow figured out how to make this even worse. CM Punk? Sheamus?

Don't care for the idea at all. I like Heyman and Axel baiting HHH into a match after Vince/Steph/his kids/maybe even HBK try to talk him into retirement, but CM Punk shouldn't be involved in this feud. I know it's Chicago but the way Punk left with nothing really to say after losing his title reign, his chance at main eventing Wrestlemania and failing to beat the streak, etc. it all indicates he has a bit of soul searching to do. Don't like him coming right back in as his usual heel self helping Heyman in this way.

Agree that it's way too early for a Punk return, but guess I just liked it because it would actually give HHH's rub to someone. We know that's a pipe dream though.

While the Punk that left wasn't particularly great lets avoid a Punk face return.

Maybe we can find a way to avoid a Punk return altogether.

I'm optimistic Axel is getting a rub from this whole thing at the end of it all anyway. With the concussion and everything, it doesn't seem designed as a happy ending for Triple H. I know HHH is HHH, but there's also examples from the past of him giving a huge rub to people that he likes.

I'd much rather Punk remain heel too, but with the fan ovation for him throughout his entire heel run, a face turn is almost inevitable at this point, especially with the fans being happy to see him for the first time in awhile. Putting him up against WWE's #1 most popular star (whenever he's on the show) The Rock didn't even get him a large quantity of extra boos, it just created almost a split reaction if anything.

I'm actually agreeing with this. The whole ordeal about this concussion and whether HHH should remain wrestling, and the fact he likes Axel makes me think that HHH will put Axel over in some way. Not a clean win, no way, but a dirty win or something else I can see happening. HHH losing whilst incredibly weak against someone he reportedly likes is even too much for big nose himself.

His children? This sounds God awful.
HHH's kids are gonna bury the Shield and take all the belts from them and go over them :harvey:
