I was just wondering where the hell HBK has been. The last time we saw him he was in an epic match at Wrestlemania (a ***** match by the way) and although it was great to see him and Undertaker provide the fans with a phenomenal match at the biggest PPV of the year, I think I'm over that now and I would like to know what WWE has planned for Shawn Michaels. I honestly don't know whats next for the guy, he's pretty much done everything he can do at this point. I'm not saying he should retire, Shawn can still go and even at his age he is still one of the best wrestlers around. My problem is, it just doesn't seem like they have much to do with him right now. I would have liked to see him get drafted to Smackdown! but that isn't going to happen. I'd like to see him feud with Randy Orton once RKO is finished with Triple H. Sure, Orton hasn't been doing the "Legend Killer" gimmick in a while but I still think HBK can carry Orton to a good match.

So, what is in store for Shawn Michaels? This could be the last wrestling year of his career and I hope WWE doesn't fuck it up.

Thoughts?

I'd like to see him really pass the torch off to somebody before he goes. I'm not saying that he hasn't done his share in putting over talent, but I'd like to see a drawn-out program where he really puts over CM Punk, Mike Mizanin, John Morrison, or somebody of the like.

^ Honestly, this may just be me being an HBK mark but I'd really like to see Shawn get his own push for once. Outside of that one World Title reign he's been putting people over constantly

@ Chess: Full time schedule = HBK says no to a title reign.... TBhonest, I'm sure it's been offered many times over the years.

Was thinking about HBK myself, wondering whether he'll be @ Backlash... Kinda lost for whom he's likely to match up with at that PPV or indeed in the near future...

...Miz? ...Regal? ...Big Show w/Vicki & Chavo?

....nothing great really springs to mind.

...Matt Hardy could be a cool one, but he's tied up with Jephhhh until some time after Backlash.

I'd love to see him & Cena have a full bad-blooded fued, but can't be arsed with face-v-face, they've proved they can only turn HBK heel so far and Cena's goin' nowhere near heeldom just yet.

Also :y: to the idea of Punk (Particularly to help put him over as a heel when the time comes) & Morrison (just don't leave it til Shawn's too battered to keep up with such a young athletic guy).

He's taking time off. And stop saying "WWE better not fuck it up". HBK is one of the most political wrestlers of all time, and one with huge stroke backstage. Anythign involving him will be approved by him, and most likely, crafted by him.
I was hoping he'd have a feud with Morrison, but now they're on seperate brands, and if WWE had plans of a feud between the two, they'd have just put Morrison on raw. Maybe a feud with MVP? Kennedy? *crosses fingers* Triple H?

Me too, but there's always the inter-promo at WM if a) HBKs not running his retirement angle and b) Morrisons been built accoringly over the next 12 months.

I don't really see it as a fued thing... Just more of a one-shot kick ass match for the fans.

Just have Morrison 'subtley' (*) calling HBK out hear and there throughout the year saying things like "I'M gonna stop the show at WM THIS year" etc. have Morrison costs HBK a title shot in the finale of the rumble, a few runs in's (if necessary) and boooooom... Ya got ya match.

(*Well, as subtle as wrestling angles get, anyway.)

Maybe a feud with MVP?

Damn WWE for fucking MVP#s character up tho'.... SO much less appealing now.

W-a-a-a-y 2007! ;o]

(Sorry dude... I'm sure it seems like I'm just gratuitously shiitting on your suggestions, but I swear I'm not.... HONEST!)

Seeing how he said WM26 might very well be his last night with WWE (his contract ends some time after and apparently he doesn't want to renew it). I'd say have him retire with the WWE Championship

HBK will be back, I feel that he deserves a break after putting on several match of the year performances before the year is even out.

Yeah, he's taking some time off. I would honestly expect this most likely being his last year and all, him being in some way involved with the title in some form this year. I don't see him going out as champion but I'de have to say a feud with HHH or Orton is almost guarenteed at some point this year.

The mention of Morrison would be a great fued, to build the guy. They can use the whole 'everyone thinks Morrison is the younger HBK' angle and really play that card. You could even exagerrate the athleticism of Morrison, and the 'age' of HBK in that match.

HBK/Kennedy - meh, done, over. Plus, if Kennedy's not hurt, he's a face anyway. That, and he sucks.

HBK/MVP - I'd like this one. Though, MVPs caught with the US Title. I don't think we'll see a decent fued with HBK, if the US Title is involved.

I'd actually like to see HBK/Taker get re-ignited later in the year. Use this time off for HBK to bring back a second match between the two, make it interbranded if need be. I think this would make SD and RAW a hella lot more exciting to watch!

WrestleMania wasn't that long ago, and Shawn took some SERIOUS bumps in that match. The only reason he showed up so early last year was because Flair was officially retiring the following night. I would expect to see him cut a promo soon though. He'll either a.) Congratulate Taker, or b.) go HBK-style like he really wants a push.

IDK though, I'm not expecting big things out of HBK in the storyline this year around the WWE title. Unless they have Orton punt his head off again and keep him out for a few months, AGAIN, only to set up a big match down the line that HBK'll lose because he doesn't wanna spend the amount of time it requires to be champion.

He hasn't been anywhere near as political as he once was since his return and I don't quite consider his stroke huge. There has not been a single report of him being the dick he once was and no matter how much a cock sucker he might've been back then, that doesn't even come close to measuring up to the biggest backstage cocksucker ever, his pal, HHH.

Shawn has been nothing short of the most professional, helpful veteran on the roster. He works more dates than Taker and Trips and has done about 1000 more jobs than both of those dudes together. And I doubt he really rejects anything that is proposed to him, because if he did I seriously doubt he'd have wanted to work programs with Masters, Benjamin and the bunch of other midcarders he's worked the past seven years. Shawn's 90's rep is well deserved, but it's ten years past and he's a different man, he's done everything right for business and there is no evidence to prove otherwise, I just wish people gave the man the fair shake he deserves...

That being said, HBK deserves another reign. It would definitely be fresh, he is soooo good in the ring and on the stick that he could really make a new main eventer during his run with proper booking and he is still more over than HHH, who is THE biggest backstage prick ever and more over than the young talent that is in line for title runs (Punk), so why would it not be a good idea to give one of the hardest working, most deserving, more over talents on the roster another title run?
