CM Punk, who did not appear at last night's RAW, also did not appear at tonight's SmackDown taping in Toledo, Ohio, despite being advertised for the event.

WWE has since removed Punk from almost all their upcoming events on the events section of their website, although he remains on the Elimination Chamber page. It is not known at this time if Punk is injured, or if something else is going on.

UPDATE: F4WOnline.com reports that Punk apparently told Vince McMahon at last night's RAW that he was going home and left the show. No further details were available other then that he's been removed from all shows going forward.

CM Punk's contract is up in July and there are strong rumors on dirtsheets that have indicated he may not resign with the company. What do you think will happen with CM Punk from now until July?

If he tried to pull an Austin and took his ball and left, it won't hurt them. He's not that big. He has no room to hold them by the balls like years ago, too many guys are healthy and available. And truly if the rumor was true and he just left, its Bryan's gain as he at the very least could get the Triple H match which is a great trade for the title if they put a stip on it.

Pretty obvious it's the Summer if Punk sequel in the works.

For what its worth Alvarez did report in his podcast that Punk was informed Monday the angles were being rewritten and Bryan would be getting the H match. I didn't take him serious, but if he threw a hissy and left, and even tries to comeback, they should still elevate Bryan in status over letting him try and pull a power play

That or laying the groundwork for their Punk revival and using Punks online fan base to try get him as hit as he was for that two week period in 2011.

Mike Johnson said they wanted him to put over Césaro on Raw for the EC qualifying match too and he refused which causes the rewrites.

Find it less hard to believe since he's the guy going over the shield solo in matches

If any of that is true and that's a big IF..... He is replaceable, just put Rollins in his snarky position. Daniel Bryan has his own thing brewing.

Hmm it all sounds interesting but not very believable as there's too many reports going around. If it was HHH/Punk why would Punk really put a decent spot on the card at the biggest event in jeopardy? And if that match didn't happen, who would Punk face? There's really noone that makes sense given how much they have built up Punk's current story. I'd love Bryan/HHH though as I definitely don't want him against Sheamus.

Don't think Punk would refuse to put Cesaro over given how respected Cesaro is as a worker and since he paid his dues in the indy scene. Besides that why would Punk really care about not being in the chamber match if he was supposed to probably face Kane then go on to face Hunter anyway? And if anything, given how banged up he supposedly is why would he want to go through a chamber match?

If he's taking an extended break, since his contract ends in July, hopefully he'll be back around this time next year. And all of the injuries he's been dealing with would've healed up, and perhaps he could even be a surprise entrant in the Rumble and finally get that WM main event spot.

Not buying this to be honest. Cesaro would be the first guy Punk would put over so no way he'd say no to that. Punk's an asshole but he's not this stupid. Either a work or one dirtsheet made up a good story that the others ran with and Punk's going along with it for shits and giggles.

Him being removed from events is the only real basis any of these rumors have.

First off if anyone deserves a break it is Punk, the injuries have stacked up and for someone his age he has worked pretty much non-stop.

You do wonder if he might have gone as far as he can go in WWE, but I do think him going face was their big mistake.

I don't buy him refusing to put Cesaro over neither, nor do I believe WWE would ask Punk to do such a job.

Alternate story floating around is they cut him from RAW to sell the beating he took, Pulling him from RAW would mean pulling him from smackdown as one day isn't going to do shit. Supposed to start the Kane program next week from what I read but by all means lets make some mountains.

I'm not gonna be crying over split milk if Punk is gone for a while; Bryan vs Hunter is a good enough replacement for me.

Point being made with the SD spoilers:
The idea of not putting Cesaro over might be true seeing as Cesaro ended up in the chamber. but highly unlikely.
