I think Bryan will as someone above mentions do an Eddie and go over and win big at a later date and it will send fans rabid.

So what is your point then...

Punk was still the centerpiece of the whole angle obviously, and he was working with Cena (the top guy) and later on HHH (which wasn't bad in itself, until Punk took a loss) and it didn't really have an immediate effect on business except for Punk's merch sales rising or whatever. Maybe if the angle had been allowed to go on longer, it could have built more momentum but that's a hypothetical. At the end of it all, Punk just isn't the kind of guy that masses of people want to come out to see judging by the numbers. Bryan would be the same way, regardless of his popularity, which is mostly just people chanting YES because it's simple and easy to chant. This is probably why WWE isn't exactly in a hurry to give Bryan the title. Also the fact that he's in an over tag team, holds one half of the tag team titles, and is currently feuding with The Shield - this definitely qualifies as a 'push.' It's not like he's curtain jerking every night or anything without being involved in any important aspect of the show. I'm sure he will get the title at a later date, though.

I believe that post was by me. Doesn't change his previous numbers (he also shared some of those high drawing segments with Vince, a proven ratings draw) and when it comes to being a draw, he still isn't "top guy" big. He's never gonna replace Cena or someone on that level.

No one said he's going to replace Cena. Not once. A thread here proved he was an all round draw for a long period of time, so that "he was with Vince" argument doesn't make sense either. He is proof that being smaller doesn't mean as much as most people think, and that you can still succeed at the very top.

Out of interest as we are shooting the breeze on what draws here. What actually does in wrestling terms nowadays?

First not sure if a troll with that comment or not.

Second I meant viewing figures or something in terms of numbers?
wtf? how is that a troll comment.

And drawing in terms of numbers? Higher than what they normally get. For instance Rock almost always brought in more viewers on the shows he shows up at.
